The Gribbin Peninsula, which is located between Par and the charming town of Fowey, offers stunning views of the nearby coastline and is a great place to go for a walk. Numerous locations close to Par have ties to novelist Daphne du Maurier, including the little cove at Polkerris that is home to the Rashleigh Arms and gets its name from a local landowner whose home the author frequently visited. The China Clay Country Park, Charlestown Shipwreck Museum, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are just a few of the local attractions.
