Ilkley is the ideal place to relax and treat yourself set in beautiful Wharfedale and is close to the Yorkshire Dales.

When the sun’s out, Ilkley Lido is the perfect place to go. An enormous 45-metre outdoor pool and a smaller indoor one means you can splash about and soak up some well-deserved sunshine, safe in the knowledge that there’s somewhere to go if the clouds gather. What’s more, the gorgeous sun-drenched views over Ilkley Moor are worth the price of admission alone, which is £8.30 for an adult ticket at peak times. Open May to September.

Take a walk up the Ilkley Moors and stop off at the famous White Wells Cafe & receive a certificate for a dip in the historic plunge pool and relish in the superb views of the moors.

Roads: inevitably bound by the Wharfe valley; two ways in or out; Leeds in 30-40 mins. End of the Wharfedale railway: to Leeds 30 mins, twice hourly. Leeds Bradford airport is a 20-min drive.
