The Space:
Villa Chrysallis offers a private heated swimming pool and can accommodate up to 16 guests. It is a warm and cozy place, built with care offering you maximum comfort and peace. Being perched in the green village of Vafe, Villa Chrysallis overlooks the olive groves and Vrysses valley. A residence that exudes fine taste and style, infused with traditional elements and a professional standard hospitality, is the ideal destination if you’re looking to unwind, relax and reconnect with yourself, or your loved ones and with nature!

The villa is spread over ground, 1st and 2nd floor, is approximately 320 sq.m. It has 6 bedrooms, 6 en suite bathrooms and a wc. All 5 bathrooms have a bathtub while one has a shower with a cabin. The rooms extend over all floors. Of the total, 4 bedrooms have a double bed, while the other two have 2 single beds that can be made into double beds on request. The bedrooms are air-conditioned, with wardrobes and blackout curtains. Some of them have satellite TV.

A washing machine and dryer are available for your convenience.

Linen and towels are provided to our guests.

In the villa you will find 3 different kitchens, one on each floor given the large capacity and to serve you better. You will find ovens with hobs, refrigerators, dishwasher, 2 espresso machines, filter coffee maker, toaster, toaster and all the necessary cooking utensils that will facilitate you to the fullest for the preparation of your meals.

Outside you will find a big yard, with olive trees, mulberry trees, plants, a large porch with a dining area in the pool area, pool loungers and a stone bbq and outdoor sink. In addition you will find a comfortable couch under a canopy and hammock. Note that there is a second dining area for your convenience.

The pool is approximately 40sqm. We use eco-friendly cleaning practices that avoid the use of harsh chemicals, ensuring a healthy and sustainable environment for our guests.
Furthermore pool towels will be provided upon arrival.

The outdoor area will suit you to the fullest, it is comfortable, with unobstructed views of nature. It is a dreamy place for those who want to know the Cretan land and hospitality.

Finally you will find recycling bins in the villa.

Guest Access:
- Guests have access to all areas of the property.
- The use of the pool is free, however we need to be aware that you want the use of the heating system at least 3 days before your arrival.

The Neighborhood:
Our Villa is located just a 15min drive from the beach, restaurants, bars, café and shops. The enchanting city of Chania is a 30-minute drive away, while the splendid coastal town of Rethymnon is also within easy reach. Its superb location helps you to explore the beauties of Crete island.

Vafes is located in Apokoronas, Chania, a village with a long history and has been alive for hundreds of years. In the village you will find the Cave of Kryonerida where it has great historical importance for the locals. There is also the beautiful chapel of Agios Ioannis. Finally, there is the Kalamato Cave, which is a multi-dimensional cave with small chambers, barrels, stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is accessible only by experienced cavers.

The beach of Georgioupolis is only 11.5 km away, where you will find cafes, taverns, a pharmacy, a supermarket etc. The beach is sandy with many visitors and locals loving it very much. The special little church of Agios Nikolaos located in the sea will make you stand out. In the river that is there you can rent sea bikes and enjoy the nature.

Lake Kournas is 15km away and a walk will make you admire this wonderful wetland with its rare beauty and full of bird, fish and plant life. You will find many taverns and you can walk in some places along the lake. It is the only natural freshwater lake in Crete. While you will find many Byzantine churches.

At 18km away you will find Omprogialos, where the waters are green-blue, clear and cool, giving a visually magical image.

The surrounding villages are full of life, small cafes “cretan kafeneio” and traditional taverns.
