Masseria Relais Saraceno with pool, Melendugno, Italy

A spectacular villa surrounded by extensive, walled gardens, for total privacy. This beautiful property consists of a stone Masseria and two Trulli, combining the charm of Puglia with modern comforts and convenience. It makes a perfect holiday option for the most discerning guests.

The Masseria sleeps up to 12 people. On entering, guests are welcomed by a spacious living room of over 50m2, with a large wooden table and chairs, an ultra-flat 42-inch plasma TV and a range of comfortable furniture. Additional beds can be placed in this room on request. The living room leads to a well-equipped kitchen, with professional appliances and steel worktops; a cooker hob; oven; microwave; a large fridge with freezer; a coffee machine and a pantry.

The villa’s extensive gardens have been created with as much care and attention as the interiors. Outside the main buildings is a large terrace with several areas where guests can relax and dine al fresco. An attractive, shaded outside lounge area, with sofas and armchairs, looks out over the gardens. The pool area is accessed via a stone staircase, down from this terrace. It is surrounded by parasols, sun loungers and deck chairs where guests can relax after a refreshing swim.

Sleeping
Two of the bedrooms are in the independent trulli, with stone walls and vaulted ceilings. Both bedrooms have a double bed and one has an additional single bed, with wardrobes and en suite bathrooms.
The other bedroom is in the main house and has a double bed and a single bed.
Extra: There are two single beds and one double sofa bed in the spacious living room.

Bathrooms
Bathroom 1: This independent bathroom is in the main masseria and is equipped with a shower, bidet, basin and WC.
Bathrooms 2 and 3: These are en suite to the bedrooms in the trulli and have showers, basins, bidets and WC’s.
Extra: There is an additional bathroom with a WC and a bidet.

Location
If guests want to venture outside of this paradise, they are just 12 minutes from Torre dell’Orso, which is known for its fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear sea. The beach is particularly good for families with children, as the sand slopes gently into the water. There are several beach clubs, which suit different ages and interests. The town is a laid-back resort with supermarkets, smaller shops and many excellent restaurants which will suit all budgets and tastes.

Closer still is the small town of Melendugno (3 minutes) which has everything guests might need, including the weekly market (Wednesday morning), where you can find the very freshest and best local produce to cook at home.

For more adventures, there are plenty of places to explore. The city of Lecce (25 minutes) is blessed with wonderful Baroque architecture as well as Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

To get into nature the WWF nature reserve of Le Cesine is just 12 minutes from the villa. Or for golfers, there are 2 golf clubs near the town of Acaya (20 minutes)

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just an hour away by car. Please note that the pool is open from the 26th of April 2024 to the 14th of November 2024
