Peaceful Asheville Mountain Suite

Private entrance two bedroom suite on the first floor of our home with kitchenette set-up for breakfast and snacks surrounded by the beautiful forests of Asheville. The property is nearly adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. While we don’t have a direct trail built yet, there is a trailhead to the Mountain to Sea Trail less than two miles from the property. While it feels like you have escaped to a remote mountain retreat, downtown Asheville is just a 15 minute ride away and quaint Black Mountain is just under 20 minutes away.

There is a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress, sofa and small dining table.

The other bedroom contains a queen bed and a small kitchenette set-up that is perfect for breakfast and snacks. It contains a keurig coffee maker with pods provided, mini-fridge, toaster, microwave, and flatware/glasses/silverware.

The bathroom has double sinks, granite counters and a large, luxurious shower. There is an additional walk-in closet that is the size of a small room. Finishes and detailing in the suite are very high quality.

Our home is well built and insulated, but you will likely hear normal household noise as we do live upstairs with our toddler.

We love to host families! We have a pack and play with a mattress (a more comfortable one for 12m+ kiddos) as well as the flatter one that comes standard with the pack and play, a high chair or booster seat, stroller, baby carrier hiking pack, and toys and books for babies and toddlers for your use and convenience. There is also a walk-in closet that would be prefect for use as a baby/toddler room. We only have a (very large) shower in the airbnb suite, not a bath. The suite is not baby proofed, so supervision is required at all times... there are stairs in the suite (with a locked door at the top), furniture is not bolted to walls, no plastic protector things in sockets, etc. Happy to answer questions. We know traveling with little ones can be stressful!

We take Covid very seriously. While we do live upstairs, it will be a no contact check in and stay (unless there is an emergency). We will be available by phone/text. In addition to following careful cleaning, we will have at least 48 hours between guests to further decrease any risk during this time. We don't have a TV yet. If that is a deal-breaker let us know, as we are considering getting one with Roku. Please ask if you need flexibility around check in or check out.

We are in the Riceville area of Asheville. We are only 15 minutes away from down-town Asheville and just 20 minutes to quaint Black Mountain. We are about 1/4 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountain to Sea trail. While we haven't built a direct trail yet, there is a trail head less than two miles away for close access. We are also minutes away from great hiking trails.

Our home is surrounded by the beautiful forests of western NC, and you will feel miles away from the city. It truly is a mountain retreat. However with that, we do have bears, so please exercise caution and awareness. House and car doors must be kept locked at all times for safety, and it is recommended not to keep any food or scented products in your car.

Our drive way is steep, so a 4WD is recommended for winter months.
