Nice place, great pool, but overly controlled
The overly rigid big brother limitations on the thermostat will make you feel like a child in an adult's home. You're asked to "purchase" a late checkout. They certainly don't under-promise and over-deliver.
We paid $50/day to heat the pool, and had no information on how it worked, so we called and they told us there was a remote. Then we called back to see how it worked, and they didn't know. We said it was too hot and wanted to reduce it a few degrees. There was no response until someone called us the next day and left a message saying the local team wanted to see if we still needed assistance. We did, but I wasn't going to spend my vacation time hunting them down. The local team should have reached out directly to ensure all was good.
Then there's the thermostat. It's hard-coded to not go below 75. We wanted to adjust it down a degree or two, but no. And at night it seemed to not cycle on and off and it got warm. A sign said it's to protect the AC unit, but I've stayed at many places in Palm Springs and never had this before. If there's a problem with the AC unit, get a new one. If it's an issue with cost, charge me a little more.
The internet stopped working the night before our last day. Spent 30 minutes doing what they asked me to do, but then they said someone would need to look at it properly. Never heard anything again.
The management team gets a share of the rental dollars to manage these but they don't seem too concerned about resolving issues.
