This villa sits splendidly on a picturesque peninsula with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, small off-shore islands and the cascading hills of the beautiful island of Antigua. The quiet inlets and beautiful bays that stretch below the house are home to sea turtles, stingrays, and flying fish and beckon to be explored by kayak, sailing and swimming or snorkeling. Also overlooking the grand views is a large infinity edge pool with sundeck appealing for relaxation and sun bathing or even some light exercise, complete with its own shower, changing room and bathroom.

Following a path through the tropical gardens that extend to the sea takes you to the property’s very own private dock! This private dock is the perfect feature for boatmen, water-sports enthusiasts and keen fishermen to set sail for an ocean adventure at any time, or even just to step aboard a luxury charter cruise right from your villa!

Not far away, about 5 minutes by drive is arguably one of the nicest beaches on the island, the beautiful white-sand beach and clear waters of Long Bay which is also home to many activities such as snorkeling, boating, fishing, and much more!

The White House is a magnificent villa boasting 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 6,000 spacious square-feet. The villa is perched high on a peaceful bluff on 0.64 acres of tropical gardens overlooking the clean and calming waters of the Atlantic. Constructed in the tranquil high-end private community known as The Peninsula, the villa was designed in 2008 by Andrew Goodenough, the renowned Antiguan architect.

Gated access, colorful hedges and a beautiful stone driveway welcome you to The White House where there is ample guest parking and the convenience of a cool garage for your vehicles. The tropical gardens and stone work surround the house where it is easy to find sun or shade on the many terraces and patios.

The four grand bedrooms offer two king sized beds and two twin beds, each outfitted with their own ensuite bathrooms, individual air conditioning units and ceiling fans to ensure your comfort. Large built in wardrobes, with ample shelf and hanging space provide storage. An exceptional feature is that each bedroom also has its own terrace with magnificent views providing a private quiet setting for rest and relaxation while sipping your morning tea or having an afternoon snack.

The spacious open air living room is tastefully appointed and has large glass doors at each end to welcome the tropical breezes. This room flows beautifully into a gracious dining area with breathtaking views of the sea on two sides. Throughout the house travertine floors imported from Europe, red cedar doors and shutters with mosquito screens add to the charm of the home. Walking out onto the front terrace, which is lovely for breakfast or outdoor dining, you find a quiet place to rest watching spectacular sea views over the North Sound or a sunset against the silhouetted mountains to the West. The study to the East of the terrace provides convenient office space with wonderful views from the windows and doors.

With high end appliances, granite countertops and more breathtaking views, the kitchen invites you to make yourself at home. For your convenience a washing machine and dryer can be found in the utility room below. Soothing ceiling fans cool the kitchen, living room and dining room.

The Peninsula community is situated nearby to many of the islands top local attractions such as Stingray City, Devil’s Bridge, Betty’s Hope and in the region of high end hotels. For the explorer it is only a 20 minute drive to English Harbour, Nelson’s Dockyard, Pigeon Beach, Galleon Bay, Fort Barrington and Falmouth Harbour. Antigua is the centre of sailing and fishing in the Caribbean. It boasts 365 lovely sandy beaches, a zipline, tropical hiking trails and much, much more.
