Bon séjour
La location est conforme à nos attentes et se situe où nous le voulions : au milieu de nulle part : la nature à perte de vue. Cependant la location est placée au milieu d’un secteur avec une multitude d’activité et non loin de sarlat et souillac pour les commerces. La proximité de la Dordogne à carlux nous a permis de faire des activités assez rapidement : kayak, randonnée, pique nique… La piscine est le plus du séjours lors duquel il y avait la canicule et nous n’en avons pas souffert ! La propriétaire a été très prévenante et de bon conseil. L’ensemble de la famille est ravi de son séjours.

Greatest Holiday Ever!
This property is in a gorgeous setting - rolling wooded hills. Very peaceful and scenic. 8 women of a certain age, from USA and Canada, spent 9 nights (there were six of us after the first 2 nights). We rented both the bigger cottage and the small one - after there were 6 of us, we could all have easily fit in the big one. Every room is thoughtfully decorated and the bathrooms are incredible. So nice to have good water pressure and lots of hot water and toilets and showers that work properly. All appliances were in working order and everything was spotless. There were plenty of linens and towels. Pascale has three little dogs that are delightful - we all enjoyed them! A nice welcome basket awaited us in each cottage, and I cannot think of a single utensil or item we needed and could not find. The real gift, though, is Pascale. She is so warm and friendly and helpful, I feel like I have a new friend. She went out of her way to pick me up in Brive to take me to the rental agency, because only the Hertz agency has vans with automatic transmission, and it isn't near the train station. Prior to that, she made many phone calls on my behalf finding just that vehicle to rent, and helping me get it booked. She then led us all to Souillac, where we picked up the rest of our people and their luggage, Then, on our last day, she did it all again, even though she needed to prepare the cottages for 12 arriving guests that afternoon. She also arranged for an appointment, and drove, and acted as interpreter with a physician when one of our party was ill. The dinner she prepared for us the first night we arrived was so good, and a friendly, welcoming evening was had under the hazelnut trees in the yard. Delicious food and great company. If you get a chance to have brunch at the castle whose owner she knows, in St. Genies, it is an unforgettable experience. The pool house has to be seen to be believed. It is like having a whole cottage beside the pool, (sans bedroom), and our group ate there almost every night. The pool is wonderful, warm and sparkling clean. I could go on and on, but you can see that 5 stars aren't enough - I would give 10 stars, and I can't wait to return! Thank you, Pascale!

Teurer Urlaub mit vielen Enttäuschungen!
-Das landestypische Ferienhaus befindet sich auf einem wunderbar großen, schönen, rundum eingezäunten Grundstück. Die Landschaft an der Dordogne um Sarlat war die Reise wert! Mitsamt dem einmaligen Sternenhimmel mit sichtbarer Milchstraße!! vergeben wir einen Stern. -Der schöne große Pool hat uns auch sehr gefallen. -Es war alles sauber. Mein Mann und unsere Tochter waren begeistert vom "Flipper" im Wohnzimmer! An dieser Stelle vergeben wir den zweiten Stern. Da wir leider auch Vieles kritisieren müssen, vergeben wir keine weiteren Sterne. Wir beginnen bei der Ankunft: -Wir wurden von der Eigentümerin vorwurfsvoll mit den Worten begrüsst, wir wären zu früh da! -Das "Kinderzimmer" befand sich weit entfernt, nur von draußen durch einen Zahlencode zugänglich, im Dachgeschoss des Hauses. Aus Sicherheitsgründen hat mein Mann dort übernachtet! -Massive Probleme mit dem Internetzugang, nicht überall WLAN, womit geworben wird! -Safe war kaputt! -Manchmal wehte ein Fäkaliengeruch, wohl aus einer Sickergrube, um unsere Terrasse! -Zum Frühstück wurden wir während der zwei Wochen nicht ausreichend mit Brot versorgt! Wir mussten nachfragen und selbst danach funktionierte der versprochene Service nicht! -Die drei wirklich lieben Hunde der Eigentümerin "verirrten" sich häufig zu uns. Nicht weiter schlimm, dennoch mussten wir sehr auf unser Essen achten, sie waren ständig auf Nahrungssuche und wir mussten die Türen geschlossen halten. -Ein Karaoke - Abend fand direkt vor unserem Schlafzimmerfenster statt! Es war so laut, dass die Scheibe vibrierte! Zusätzlich mussten wir uns vom Animateur noch eine Beleidigung anhören, denn er rief lauthals in sein Mikrofon, "die Deutschen" würden sich wohl verstecken, da wir nicht teilnehmen wollten. Darauf angesprochen, verhielt sich die Eigentümerin nicht kritikfähig! Sie hat nur alles dementiert und sich nicht einmal entschuldigt! Wohlgefühlt haben wir uns dann gar nicht mehr. Den Rest des Urlaubs wurden wir sogar von der Eigentümerin ignoriert! -Schade, dass die schöne graue "Ente" zugemüllt und verwahrlost dastand, das Auto wurde leider nicht so präsentiert wie im Inserat! Bei näherem Hinsehen war u.a. auch die Wohnung viel zu voll mit diversem Krimskrams! Auf den Fotos im Inserat sieht das anders aus. Die winzige Toilette sieht man nicht einmal auf Fotos. Kein Wunder! Sie befindet sich unter einer Treppe in einer Abstellkammer! - Fazit: Ein teurer Urlaub mit vielen Enttäuschungen! Schade!

Wonderful Gite in Simeyrols
My husband and I rented the small cottage/gite on this property for one week in September and had a fabulous time. September and October offer warm, sunny weather (75-82F), and the towns are not crowded so sightseeing is a joy! The cottage has lovely furnishings throughout as well as a modern bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, dishes and glassware. The grounds, outdoor patio and pool areas are beautiful. The pool is heated to 89F. The owner, Pascale, is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. She speaks English fluently and provided helpful tips for our day trips. Go and have a wonderful time!

Excellent two weeks in this lovely house
We spent two fabulous weeks in this very nice Gîtes. The house feels like a real original house from the region. Decorated with love and details, it has a special atmosphere that feels like vacation in France. We especially like the historic Flipper “Indiana Jones” and the original Juke Box that was running all day for us. The heated pool was large and perfectly situated by the house. Our two kids loved to use it almost every day. Being located in Simeyrols, it was possible to easy do day trips to all important Perigord locations like castles, botanical gardens, historic towns, caves and of course the Dordogne river where canoeing is the perfect sport. Last but not least it needs to be mentioned that Pascale is a perfect organizer and she can make almost everything happen. Thank you again for all your support Pascale !!
