Other things to note
The red tape:
- The booking guest must be 25+ and will be responsible for the rest of the guests
- 6 Person Max
- 2 Vehicle Max
- No Pets
Private area but not secluded
Our neighbors are permanent residents.
Please be considerate of them.
That just means that we ask you to:
- refrain from loud music and noises including yelling.
- clean up any and all garbage.
- avoid trespassing.
- avoid all illegal activities.
We provide a start of toilet paper and paper towels. You may need to buy more.
- Phone service works for most providers, but a great work around if it does not is to call your service provider ahead of time to access their free internet phone calling capability. This is the same type of calling as your phone and uses your same phone number, it is just done over the internet instead of from a cell tower. You can also find various apps that will let you do internet calls but not through your primary number .
- You will likely see and hear critters
- Bugs (ants, millipedes, bees, and other insects) may be present. Our cabin is professionally treated by a licensed pest control company on a regular basis. Being in the heart of the national forest can create its challenges with insects. We do not allow refunds for the presence of these type of insects.
- Our property is bordered by the national forest so you may see some great wildlife.
- The fireplace is run by remote.
- The firepit is a great place to relax and make smores. There are places to purchase firewood locally. Do not leave the fire unattended. Put any fires out with water before leaving them.
- No late check out. If you depart late there will be a $75 charge.
- We are not able to do refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/acts of God/other things that are beyond our control.
- Please purchase travel insurance if you are concerned about circumstances that may keep you from being able to come or stay the entirety of your trip.
- Please bring shampoos, toiletries, condiments, zip locks, firewood and coffee that you will need.
- If you sneak in a pet of any kind we will need to charge an additional $100 for cleaning.
- The Road. Mountain Lake Circle is a one lane gravel road. You will only be driving on it for a short distance before turning into our driveway. Our driveway is paved but very steep. We recommend AWD/4WD during winter stays.
- Absolutely no fires inside or out (except for the grill and the firepit). Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $100 plus damages.
- There is a security camera located on the front of the cabin. It remains on at all times.
