Disappointed with stay
We would not recommend renting at Ducassi for long term. (We rented for just over 2 months) We chose this apartment for a couple reasons. The first was the area. The second was the fact there was a clothes washer and a BBQ (Grill)
The management and staff of the building were great. They addressed our concerns in a timely manner and were easy to deal with and went out of their way to help us. The problems we had were all issues that appear to out of their control.
This area of Punta Cana is great and everything is very close. We were very happy in the Los Coralas, Bavaro area.
The VRBO web site of the apartment showed a clothes washer in the unit. There was not one in the apartment. The management did agree to do our laundry but charged us $15. (They have laundry staff that do the bedding/towels). After we talked to them they did agree to do it for free. We still would have preferred to have a washing machine.
The BBQ was so bad it was no longer functional as there was no propane tank; the doors and grill were both severely damaged. Beside the BBQ were 3 cement pads with tables. The third pad was a cover for the septic tank and was broken and open therefore very smelly.
The 2 pools are very nice although of the 20 lounge chairs at the pools over half were broken and could not be used.
When we arrived the apartment was not ready. No microwave, blender, toaster and safe key. We did receive all of them later that day or the next. This is a minor issue but it would be be
