Our commitment to cleaning - These are stressful times for us all, so we as a team want to make sure you know that if you are considering staying that we take cleaning very seriously here, we have always been methodical about disinfecting every surface in the unit, but during this outbreak we are being extra careful to use a bleach solution on all areas which are touched more regularly, such as keys, door knobs, cupboard handles, light switches, kettle handles, remote controls, etc. We also are making sure to wash our hands/use alcohol gel before starting and many times during cleaning. We are also mindful to ensure we feel well ourselves before going inside to clean.
If you stay more than 5 days and if you need any extra cleaning during your stay, we offer the same cleaning and replacements of the linens and products in every 3 to 5 days depending on your preference.
This is a historical stone house (more than a 100 years old), with your own kitchenette, bathroom and balcony with sea view, in a very handy location, minutes walk to the city, shops, restaurants and transport.
You will be in Eski Foça, there is plenty of good cafes, seafood restaurants, bars with live music, beaches, and also an art gallery (IG: han_art.atelier) where Efe collects woods from the islands of Foça and create objects using his adventurer sense of art. I would also like to mention, that we spare a place in our house for Efe, and he displays one of his object (wooden sailboat) in our house in the larger bedroom.
When you drive to Eski Foça, you will be seeing a great panoramic view of this place just before you enter. When you observe the city from there it becomes much easier to understand why so many old nations are stayed here. It’s geographic structure makes easier to protect the city from the enemies. While you walk at the city center of Eski Foça you will be seeing the historical castle which is built by Byzantines in the 11th century then taken by Genoese and lastly by the Ottomans. That castle also included on the Tentative List of UNESCO in 2013. If you enjoy tracking, I highly recommend walking to the historical windmills of Foça, besides those windmills there are historical canons and again a great panaromic view of Eski Foça. A recommendation list will be provided to you where you will be having each travel destionations and the best cafes, restaurants, beachs inside and around Eski Foça.
