Snowbird at Tahoe is a special home in the sought-after Chamberlands neighborhood on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. With 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a large great room upstairs, there’s plenty of room for up to 8 guests, plus one well-behaved dog upon prior approval. The spacious front deck affords partial lake views and a top-of-the-world feeling, perfect for relaxing with family and friends.
In summer, access to Chamberlands Beach and Mountain Club is included, with private beach, heated swimming pool, tennis courts, multiple piers, restaurant, and historic bar over the water. The beach is only a mile from the house, but if you’re not up for walking, you can hop on the shuttle bus that runs every half hour. Enjoy a famous Chambers Punch (or two!) lakeside and then safely ride home on the shuttle.
In winter, the “locals’ secret” ski area, Homewood Mountain Resort, is just 2 miles to the north. Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley) is 15 miles northwest. A few miles south at Sugar Pine Point State Park, Nordic skiers can glide over the same Cross Country ski trails that were used in the 1960 winter Olympics.
Besides its convenient and serene location, the house itself is also a gem. All 4 bedrooms are downstairs on the entry level. There’s 1 King, 1 Queen and 2 bedrooms each with 2 Twin beds. Two full bathrooms and laundry facilities are also on this level.
Head upstairs to the Great Room that will bring your family and friends together for happy times! Wood burning fireplace, big screen TV, large dining table and adjacent fully-equipped kitchen are all available for your enjoyment, plus a half bathroom for convenience.
Decks on both the front and back sides of the upper level offer room to spread out. Gas grill and dining furniture on the front deck allow for al fresco meals with a view, while the more secluded back deck is a great place to escape with a good book or a yoga mat for quiet time among the pines.

Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog to any dog-friendly property. All dogs must be at least one year old and must not be left unattended at the property unless crate trained. No pets other than dogs are allowed at any of our pet-friendly properties (no cats, birds, ferrets, etc.).
*PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a dog to our dog friendly property there is an additional fee of $100+tax.
Our properties do not have air conditioning.
BBQs are not provided during winter months (November to Memorial Day)

THE COUNTY OF PLACER IMPLEMENTED A NEW SHORT TERM RENTAL ORDINANCE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR GUESTS TO ABIDE BY. FINES RANGE FROM $1,500- 5,000 AND CAN BE ISSUED TO GUESTS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE. A FULL LIST OF RULES IS ATTACHED AS A PHOTO IN THIS LISTING. SOME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
•QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 9PM TO 8AM. NO NOISE SHALL BE HEARD ACROSS PROPERTY LINES. NO OUTDOOR SPEAKERS OR AMPLIFIED SOUND ARE TO BE USED AT ANY TIME.
•DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES WHEN OUTSIDE OF A PROPERTY AND ALL PET WASTE NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP.
•PARKING IS LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING NUMBER OF SPACES: 3 - STREET PARKING IS PROHIBITED YEAR-ROUND.
