I booked the property on November 8 to stay for the week of Thanksgiving. He reached out to me on November 16 that the property wasn’t going to be available because the owners wanted to stay in their home. He sent me a property that was too big and not small and personable to be with my small family for the holidays and very outdated. I told him was there any other properties and he said no.I asked him how the owners could do this last minute and he stated verbatim. This is their home they can do that And I said I don’t like the property and he said he would refund me. So it be November 16 a week before Thanksgiving there isn’t many properties left so I am immediately booked a property. Who wouldn’t being last minute and very few properties left. When I never received my confirmation email saying it was canceled. I then called Vrbo spoke to representative and stated that they will be penalized for canceling. I then reached out through app and stated I never received refund or cancellation and please do so because I booked another property. He responds with the property is now available for you. You can now stay at property. He knew I had purchased the insurance policy and wanted me to cancel. I reached out through Vrbo. They reached out to him. They have an on documented how unprofessional he was and they apologized over and over but I still was charge $730 for a property I’ve never stayed at, so I feel sorry for the owners. It is not their fault.
