This quaint town features a variety of local fare and restaurants, shops, and galleries. Guests can also enjoy convenient access to the kayak and paddle boarding launches for the Kalamazoo River. A one mile drive across the Kalamazoo River will take you to Saugatuck, Michigan which has additional shopping and dining options. Recognized as one of the top beaches in the country, the award-winning Oval Beach is a beautiful destination located just 2 miles northwest.
Cedar Stow provides 4 complimentary beach cruiser bikes for our guests to use during their stay. This is a fantastic way to explore Saugatuck and Douglas and take advantage of the Blue Star Trail. The cities of Douglas and Saugatuck offer the Interurban, a demand response public bus system. The Interurban offers curb to curb service in both the cities of Douglas and Saugatuck and all of Saugatuck Township. *Parking in downtown Douglas and Saugatuck is extremely limited during the summer season.
