"The Shortstack" - remodeled home in Cloudcroft with deck overlooking the forest

Come enjoy the cool mountain air at "The Shortstack," a recently-remodeled 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home at 8,800 feet elevation in the Village of Cloudcroft.

~~~ OUR LOCATION ~~~

The house is perched on a half-acre lot, tucked into a grove of rustling aspens and surrounded by towering pine trees. It's located on a quiet street just 1 mile from Burro Street's restaurants and shops or The Lodge and its famous mountaintop golf course (both a quick drive or 20-minute walk). Cloudcroft is surrounded by thousands of acres of the Lincoln National Forest, with scenic drives and miles of beautiful forested trails. Plus, White Sands National Park is only a 45-minute drive!

~~~ "THE SHORTSTACK" ~~~

The house was extensively remodeled in 2022, including brand-new appliances, floors, granite countertops, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and more!

The Shortstack also has over 700 sq. ft. of brand-new decking, including a huge south-facing deck with seating where you can enjoy sunsets and starry skies. Wildlife such as elk, mule deer, hummingbirds and more are frequent visitors.

The home features two bedrooms, both with brand-new Casper mattresses:

* Primary bedroom (with king bed) on the main floor with direct access to a full bathroom
* Bedroom on the second floor (with queen bed) with an attached bathroom

The upstairs bedroom also has a small room adjacent with a twin bed, plus a twin trundle under the queen bed.

The fully-appointed kitchen has an electric range, new fridge, new dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, and all the cookware and utensils you will need! There's an island with storage space for groceries and counter-height seating (four wooden stools).

The living room features a wood-burning stove and a TV with sound bar and Chromecast for streaming. There are also a range of games for you to enjoy. This room also includes the dining area with an expandable table and four chairs. There are extra chairs stored nearby if you need to add seating around the table.

~~~ ACCESSING THE HOUSE ~~~

"The Shortstack" is on the south side of the Village of Cloudcroft, a short drive from US Highway 82. The roads are easy to navigate and mostly paved. There is a driveway from the street with parking for a couple of vehicles. Please be advised there are 26 steps leading from the driveway to the entrance.
