Coming for the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024? You will be in the path of totality and will receive almost 4 full minutes of totality (3 min 58 secs) with a views of the afternoon sky from the cabin, front yard, or the field along the entrance!
Take in the views from one of 4 decks! There are 4 full bedrooms across three levels and a sitting room with futon that offer 5 separate sleeping arrangements. Each level offers a shared full bathroom. The upstairs bed room also has a loft area for the kids! The basement offers a game/movie room to take in a movie on your visit or shoot hoops on a rainy day. The mid-level offers a full kitchen and eat-in dining room, as well as a living area complete with a cozy wood burning fire place. There is ample room providing space for a quiet getaway - or a louder group/family gathering offering sleeping arrangements for up to 10 adults and pack another 6 kids in on couches and love seats if you don't mind rolling out a sleeping bag! Don't forget - your furry friends are welcome to come with you, following basic courtesies with pets!

If you choose, Mt Magazine lodge is located within a 30 minute drive up the mountain and offers a full restaurant and bar open year round with a number of fabulous hiking trails on the tallest mountain in the state of Arkansas.
Guests can also choose between boat access to a secluded boat ramp (Lick Creek) or utilize the Waveland State Park facilities to access Blue Mountain Lake, a favorite for Crappie fisherman state wide! Bring a boat at spend some time on the lake! Not a fisherman? Grab a kayak and make your way to either boat access to find paddling through Cypress trees within a couple hundred yards from the main boat ramps!
This property does have a trail around the bottom timber if you want to just go on a stroll through the forest and visit a hidden mountain pond. Toss in a small fishing lure, and your kiddos might just pull out a few small bream!
Keep in mind - you will be in nature on this trip. Bring your bug spray if you intend to go for a hike and avoid "leaves of three"! Listen for cackling outbursts from a few coyotes in the distance as the evening sets in and your friends and family prepare the campfire! Wake up early to catch a glimpse of deer moving through the road below the cabin or just enjoy a cup of coffee as you take in a sunrise over the lake. If you book when waterfowl migrations are moving through the state, usually early fall and late winter, be prepared to listen for the trills and watch for the bald eagles that call this ridge a temporary home as they follow the migrations!
