Relax & let your troubles fade away in this private one bedroom / one bath Haleiwa cottage maintained to perfection by property owners. Amazingly private sandy beach extends for miles! Epic surfing in the Winter, crystal clear blue ocean beckons paddling and diving in the Summer. Located on the Haleiwa side just before popular "Turtle Beach", you'll save so much time avoiding the North Shore traffic when driving in for dinner or shopping. The QUEEN size fold out bed in the blue cabinet in living room is super comfortable. Bright, super clean & fresh with a compete upgrade in 2024 that includes all new furniture for the discriminating guest. Vaulted ceiling, double paned argon filled windows, full kitchen, A/C, ceiling fans, private full-size washer/dryer, outdoor hot/cold shower. Plenty of room for surfboard or SCUBA gear storage. Includes planet friendly solar heated water. All waste recycled too! Very eco-friendly. High speed Hawaiian Telcom fiber optic internet for work or streaming your favorite TV shows. Parking included close by outside the gate. Just a bit over one mile into quaint Haleiwa Town across historic Anahulu bridge. Walk along mostly deserted beach all the way to Puaena Point by accessing the beach through a privately owned, gated, pathway. Or if you prefer, take a 5-minute beach walk towards Waimea Bay to Lanikea Beach, now widely known as “turtle beach”. You are guaranteed to see numerous turtles (Honu) during your visit. Surfing, diving, hiking, biking, shell collecting, sunbathing, playing music is our way of life here. Have the best reprieve from your normal routine you can imagine.

We're long time Oahu residents living on the North Shore well over 25 years. We both are very active SCUBA divers. We enjoy walking the beach, early morning hikes into Waimea Bay, playing music with friends, growing tropical plants and garden vegetables in the beautiful yard. James is an inactive SCUBA diving instructor, long time surfer and is happy to share his wealth of ocean experience to make your water sports activities safer.

Papailoa Rd is one of the North Shores many treasures! All homes are on lots two or three times the size of the typical beach side lot providing plenty of elbow room to breathe. Uncrowded and relaxed. The beach is perfect without lots of people but a short walk away is super popular Lanikea AKA Turtle Beach. Haleiwa town is just a quick drive away too.

(a) 4 wheeling & hiking trip to remote oceanfront location (b) Snorkeling offshore in uncrowded area (c) Early morning access to Waimea Valley (d) Offshore bottom fishing. All activities led by James "Kimo" Lewis, property owner & long time Hawaii/North Shore resident. All activities subject to seasonal weather conditions and guest's physical abilities. You'll feel special while visiting our home. The rental cottage is above our garage next to our place, and we like to keep everything maintained and enjoyable for your visit. As long-time active residents, we enjoy sharing our knowledge about all of the fun activities to do and the best time when to do them. Very close to shopping, restaurants, boat harbor and entertainment in Haleiwa town.
