Rerik is located at the northeast end of the Salzhaffe, a part of Wismar Bay between the mainland and the Wustrow Peninsula. The Baltic Sea resort is extremely family-friendly: There are adventure playgrounds and a varied program of events for young and old. Diving and horseback riding courses can be booked on site, and bicycles and “ecomobiles” can be hired. The historic town center around the church has been preserved and you are also well catered for here: Fresh or freshly smoked fish are available daily directly from the local fishermen.
