The location is great. Walking distance to all the cool places near Sloan Square. Easy to walk from the tube to the flat. The flat is also very comfortable. It's not a sterile atmosphere. There are photos, books, magazines, neat knick-knacks, and art pieces all over. And the back garden is very lovely, provided its not raining. There are nice touches throughout the flat: the pass thru from the kitchen to the conservatory makes meal times easy, the lighting in the master bathroom makes putting on makeup a joy, the couches are nice and comfy, and the fully stocked kitchen with tea sets, trays, serving platter, etc was nice to have when we made breakfast.
There are some issues, however. The master bath does NOT have a shower. There is a HUGE bathtub, but not shower. The ONLY shower is up the stairway. The faucets are a mystery as some of them are backwards: hot is where the cold is, yet labeled normally.
You are asked to take your shoes off when arriving. Understandable as one doesn't want to track water all over the house. But the floors were absolutely filthy. The carpet and rugs need to be professionally cleaned. And the hardwood and tile need a good deep cleaned as well. Our socks were black by the end of the day.
There also are not enough plugs in a couple of the rooms for charging devices.
The wifi doesn't reach past the 2nd floor. If one wants to watch TV, there is a minuscule one (the size of a computer monitor) in the living room, a larger one in the 2 larger bedrooms, but nothing in the upper rooms. So, if you want to watch a movie on your tablet, it better be downloaded because there isn't any wifi upstairs.
And no air conditioning. There are fans in the rooms, but no AC.
And there aren't enough hooks for towels in the bathrooms or next to the sinks in the bedrooms.
