Even older people with worn knees can enjoy this property.
The photos are accurate. The owner was pleasant and available but not intrusive. The property manager helped us book excellent private transportation.
We were 3 couples ranging in age from 65 ish to 80. One is a photographer always in search of a good view. One of the very best views of the trip was from the rooftop patio here!
The charm of this area is all the villas clinging to steep cliffs next to the ocean. This means, of necessity, lots of steps. You can’t have the charm without the steps.
We arrived by car and the owner met us on a pathway which was primarily horizontal in orientation. I believe it had 50-60 steps but they were not steep and we had very little difficulty taking our own luggage to the villa (we just had carry ons). The owner and/or property manager will arrange porters if you prefer.
If you are in good shape you can get to the village and back by a steep pathway which is primarily vertical (200 or so steps)
In the village is a small store with fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and other basics. There is a beautiful church (from the 1500s), some restaurants and a tourist office where you can get bus schedules etc.
Near the base of the stairs into the village is a bus stop (#7) where you can catch busses to Positano, Amalfi etc. as well as a local bus.
If you wish to avoid climbing up the steep steps to return to the villa you may take the local bus to stop #16 which puts you back on the more horizontal path with 50- 60 steps.
