Summary:
Churchill House is a wonderfully located 5 bedroom/3 bathroom property situated on the hill in Sandy Bay, Hobart's premier suburb. Fully renovated and child friendly, the house is beautifully furnished and has panoramic river views.
On the third level is a brand new ensuite master bedroom with incredible views of the Derwent river.
The Space:
This spacious and well appointed house has been recently renovated and is set over three levels. The main open plan living area is on the middle level and incorporates a fully equipped, open plan kitchen and a dining table with seating for 8 people.
The adjacent lounge area flows to an expansive deck via glass sliding doors to take advantage of all day sun and alfresco dining. A gas BBQ is available for use on the deck.
Also on the middle level, there are three bedrooms that can sleep a total of 5 people plus one additional baby (cot provided). The family bathroom on this level has both a huge freestanding bath and a walk in shower. For those that have mobility issues - this middle level is perfect for living & sleeping as it is flat throughout straight from the front door through to the main deck.
MASTER BEDROOM with ensuite
The master bedroom contains a queen size bed and a walk-in wardrobe. This luxurious bedroom is on the newly built third level and has a beautiful ensuite bathroom and spectacular views over the Derwent River. The perfect place to wake up.
The exquisite ensuite bathroom has a free standing bath and separate shower.
SECOND BEDROOM - middle level
The second bedroom contains twin beds and extensive built in cupboards.
THIRD BEDROOM - middle level
The third has a king single with room for a cot, if required.
FOURTH BEDROOM (middle level)
The fourth bedroom contains a queen size bed and extensive built in cupboards.
FIFTH BEDROOM - lower level
On the lower level is a fifth bedroom with a double bed and as well as a second bathroom (Shower over bath) with laundry facilities. Adjacent to the downstairs rumpus room, a perfect retreat for additional family members who want their own space.
Guest Access:
The house can easily accommodate two families or groups of couples. Opening on to a sheltered lower deck is a second, large and very comfortable living/rumpus area with modular seating, ideal for children to play or for an adults' quiet retreat.
The rumpus room incorporates a fabulous children's play area with a mini kitchen, work bench, play tent and children's table as well as a selection of toys.
High speed Internet is connected via Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN).
The Neighborhood:
Hobart's famous waterfront precinct is just a 10 minute drive away. Salamanca Place and Battery Point are popular tourist attractions with an abundance of historical buildings, parks, cafes and restaurants.
Ferries to the award winning MONA and Peppermint Bay Cruises can be taken from the Brooke Street Pier.
During the summer months the Hobart Twilight Market is a must do and conveniently held just down the road at Long Beach.
Getting Around:
The house is located right by a bus stop and is also an easy 10 minute drive into Hobart's CBD and waterfront districts.
Other Things to Note:
The minimum stay is generally 4 nights with the exception of the Christmas/New Year period when it is longer.
A baby cot, high chair and stair gate are available at the property on request.
Off street parking is available for up to 2 cars.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests will have the exclusive use of the whole house and will be left entirely alone for the duration of the stay. Specific information about the property will be provided after booking is confirmed.
