Presenting as a charming mountain chalet from the outside, it’s a bright and spacious interior that welcomes you when you walk in the door. Large picture windows not only reveal breathtaking mountain views, but also allow the entire home to be drenched in natural light, right up to its dramatic vaulted ceilings.
A wood-burning fireplace ensures you’re kept toasty warm on your winter getaway, while sliding glass doors create seamless indoor-outdoor flow to keep you cool on a summer adventure holiday. With outdoor furniture on the deck and an expanse of green space, sitting down with a cuppa and watching the kids play on the lawn will be all too easy.
You’ll have all the essentials on hand here at Mike and Marion's, including a well-equipped kitchen and full laundry. There are also a few added home comforts, such as a TV with DVD player and a selection of movies, books and games, a stereo system, a mini BBQ, and even cricket and croquet equipment!
Comfortably sleeping up to nine guests in two ground floor rooms and two rooms on the first floor, you’ll have no trouble finding a place to rest the body after a day of adventure here! Two bathrooms provide the conveniences for your stay.
There are a host of attractions in the National Park area to check out. The shuttle for those wanting to do the Tongariro Crossing is a 10-minute walk from your door, and the slopes of Whakapapa are less than a 25-minute drive away. There are also a range of biking, tramping, and kayaking adventures in both the Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park to check out.
If you need to top up on supplies or fancy a meal out, you’ll find a Four Square supermarket, general store and a selection of eateries within 10 minutes walk, or the towns of Turangi and Taumaranui are both just over half an hour away by car. If you fancy a bite to eat out, it's a three-minute walk to the Schnapps and Station Hotels, or to treat yourself, why not dress up and head to the Chateau Tongariro for a luxury dining experience!

Please be aware that bedroom 3 is in the loft area of the second storey of this property and does not have a door. It does have a curtain for privacy.Guests should bring their own Nespresso pods to make use of the available machine.Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year.
