A clever renovation has tuned this original home into a gem! It takes full advantage of its terrific location, and makes the most of its internal space.
Downstairs there is a Queen bedroom with bunk beds, a lounge area with TV and a small bathroom with a shower. The lounge opens out to a covered deck with seating and a BBQ and the expansive back garden. Family cricket time, for sure!
Head upstairs and enjoy the light that floods in through floor to ceiling glass sliding doors and generous windows. The tastefully-furnished open plan living area includes a modern kitchen with bar stools at a counter facing the views. Well, equipped, it includes a microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine and a reverse cycle air conditioner will keep you comfortable. The kitchen looks out to a 6-seater dining suite and the lounge room with comfortable sofas and armchairs, and a TV. The deck is a major draw card, with comfortable seating at another dining table and amazing water views from across the road. It’s a superb place for games, drinks and meals. That’s what holidays are about!
The upstairs bedrooms are well-appointed, one with a Queen bed and the other with a single and a bunk. They share a family bathroom that has a shower over the bathtub , vanity and toilet. All linen is provided. There is a washing machine for your convenience.
Being pet-friendly, and having plenty of off-street parking, even for a boat or caravan, we think we have all your boxes ticked.
Holidaying at Greenwell Point is relaxing and peaceful. There are an abundance of nature walks, with plenty of birdlife on the river and terrific local beaches a short drive away. Boat ramps offer access to the beautiful Crookhaven River and Berry Canal. Don’t forget the fishing rods! There’s so much to explore.
Culburra Beach is just 15 minutes drive away. Its sands are patrolled in the summer season, and there are also beaches at Currarong and Callala, easily accessible by car.
Apart from the beautiful coastal walks with stunning panoramic views, there are other active pursuits to fill your days. From tennis courts and a skate park to the bowling club and the golf course at Shoalhaven Heads, you’ll find there’s something for everyone, all within a walk or very short drive.
In terms of shops and eateries, there are several options. Greenwell Point itself provides amenities such as an IGA, a local pub, a popular seafood restaurant/cafe, takeaway fish and chips and a pharmacy. Greenwell Point Bowling Club, only a four minutes’ drive away, offers lawn bowls and a family-friendly Chinese, and Jim Wild’s oyster farm is perfect if you enjoy fresh seafood. Culburra has many cafes and eateries, including Italian, fish and chips, vegetarian, Chinese and Mexican.
For those who enjoy shopping, there’s an art and craft gallery at Greenwell Point, a gift and homewares shops in Culburra and The Mill Precinct at Pyree, just a short drive west, selling local arts and crafts. Its cafe is a worthy lunch spot. Merribee Botanic Gardens makes a delightful day trip through very pretty countryside. For more mainstream amenities, Nowra is only a 20 minute drive away.
