The house it was very clean , good location, very enjoyable, contact the host and immediately respond me back , the AC works wonderful , kitchen is very spacious and well equipped, you don’t need to bring nothing for cook of course only the food and be ready like they aware to you, only they leave one pair of the essentials like toilet paper, trash bags , small shampoo, conditioner, soap but is plenty of towels , the mattresses needs an upgrade and the only thing we don’t enjoy it was a lot of Green aphids around porch lights in the night, I was thinking maybe is the season for that , but that is the only bad thing I can said . I recommend the property

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and recommendation! We’re glad you enjoyed the cleanliness, location, spacious kitchen, comfortable AC, and quick communication. We’re also happy to hear you had everything you needed for cooking and plenty of towels. Just to clarify for future guests, the starter pack of amenities is noted in the listing and is also communicated by text the day before arrival so guests have an opportunity to prepare accordingly. We appreciate your feedback regarding the mattresses and will certainly keep that in mind. As for the green aphids around the porch lights, this can occur seasonally, but we understand it can be unpleasant. Thank you again for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We hope to welcome you back in the future!

We Played Cards and Board Games next to the water. A group of Deer walked by in the back yard and a Fox came by. It was relaxing , a small slice of what Texas was like in the 90' when i was a kid.

Thank you for sharing this! We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and got to experience some of the local wildlife. Seeing deer wander through the yard — and even a fox — can make for such a special Texas Hill Country moment. It sounds like a relaxing time playing games by the water, and we love that it brought back memories of what Texas felt like years ago. We’d be happy to host you again anytime!

We had the best stay! The house was perfect for our party of 10, 3 full bathrooms to accommodate 4 preteen girls ha! The lake access was perfect for kayaking, swimming, and fishing! We even enjoyed lakeside smores! My only complaint was the oven and stove took a little longer to cook through but we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Family stay

We had an amazing time at New Braunfels Escapes. Everything was clean and great location. Really close to the water and great for kids too. The only thing was that the toilet in the masters was not working properly and the refrigerator went out. Just some maintenance work but overall a great stay. Definitely coming back!

First of all the house is very roomy, even more so that I could tell from the photos. Everything was nicely cleaned and arranged. The couches and lounge chair in the living room were so very comfortable. The television is modern and equipped with most any of the streaming apps that someone could want. The water pressure is out of this world - allowing for some wonderful showers. Back porch is huge and well equipped with a swing, dining table, grill and associated items. If you like to cook you'll want to take along any spices and oil needed, but there is an abundance of cooking pans and serving trays, plus glasses, plates, silverware, etc. It was a wonderful, comfortable stay and I can see us returning to that exact property next time we want to visit Canyon Lake

Great location on the water

We stayed for 3 days at the house in July and it was very comfortable. The direct access to the lake was fantastic and the kids really enjoyed splashing around. The house has plenty of space to spread out and relax. The upstairs bedrooms could probably use a carpet cleaning as there were some big stains, but otherwise the house seemed very clean. We greatly enjoyed our time here!

Labor Day

We had an amazing time, the location and water access was excellent. We were able to anchor our boat right near the house and come and go all day long without having to worry about trailering our boat back and forth. We even were able to enjoy the water access to the lake without the boat which is a definite plus! The property was beautiful and enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife. The deer would come and eat right from your hands. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend your rental

Mow Time on the Lake

This slightly upscale neighborhood is laid back and conveniently located near the canyon lake dam with many local establishments close by. The lake water was low during our stay, but we were able to haul some chairs, canopies, and inflatables down to the waters edge for enjoyment. Note, the path may be very challenging if your mobility is limited. The house itself was beautiful and it easily accommodated our family of ten. Only issue we had was the tall grass. The entire property could use a mowing, but just a trim around the perimeter of the home would've been helpful. Overall we had a relaxing week and would recommend this spot for your family's retreat.

Clint, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the home, the peaceful neighborhood, and the convenience of being near the Canyon Lake Dam. It’s great to know your family of ten had a relaxing week together! We truly appreciate your honest feedback regarding the tall grass. We sincerely apologize for that oversight, there was a significant rainstorm the Thursday before your arrival, which caused the lawn to grow faster than usual. Had we been made aware during your stay, we would’ve been more than happy to send our lawn care team out immediately to take care of it for you. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to have the pleasure of hosting you and your family again soon! Thanks, NBE

NOT WORTH THE MONEY !!

No ice, microwave did not work and owners called the cops on my teenage son.

Hi Meredith, the home does not advertise an ice maker, we did send a staff member to bring you about 10 ice trays and she filled them for you while you were out, we also brought a replacement microwave the same day the microwave was reported. This home is in a residential area, your son was riding dirt bikes up and down the street very loudly. We are sorry you feel that the trip was not worth the money however we did issue you a partial refund for all your troubles. We hope that you find a vacation rental property that best suits your needs in the future! Thanks, NBE

Beautiful Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was beautiful. The walk down to the water was a bit difficult. It was steep and slippery (due to rocks sliding under your feet). We loved drinking coffee on the porch each day and loved seeing all of the deer. Overall, it was a great experience. There were a few items that I did not like. The owners or management company makes the guest bring heavy garbage cans up the very long drive way and you have to roll it up a very big hill up to the road, or they charge you $50. They do not disclose this anywhere. This was a major problem for us because it was all women. For the amount of money they are charging to stay there, they should not be requiring guests to do that. Also, the carpet on the stairs and upstairs was horrible and needs to be replaced. Again, for the amount they are charging, you would not expect the carpet to be in such bad shape. The master room was beautiful and was set up very nice. The guest rooms looked like they had old, beds from a garage sale, none of which matched. The views were amazing, and this place could be incredible, if they put some work into it.
