Escape to a cozy cabin in the pines just 2 miles from the South Gate of Yosemite National Park. Nestled among young sequoias and towering pine trees, this peaceful mountain retreat is ideal for romantic couples, small families, or a quiet getaway with friends.
Inside, the cabin offers an inviting open layout with a spacious living area, dining nook, and modern, fully equipped kitchen. Relax after a day of adventure with the 55” TV and home theater system, or unwind up a modern spiral staircase in the loft-style bedroom. Bathrooms are conveniently located on the main level. Modern spiral staircase leads to master loft bedroom.
Step outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air on the large patio and yard, soak under the stars in your private hot tub, or relax in the garden area surrounded by nature, perfect after exploring Yosemite’s trails and waterfalls.
From November through April, a seasonal wood-burning stove adds extra warmth and ambiance on chilly mountain evenings. There is no A/C, but plenty of mountain breezes and fans.

My wife and I decided we needed a break from life and booked this wonderful cabin in Fish Camp. Just a few minutes from Yosemite, it’s the perfect spot after a long day hiking in the park. The hot tub was perfect (new) with a wonderful view of the towering trees. We didn’t realize the house doesn’t have AC (oversight on my part), but even in mid July it’s not needed if you follow the host’s instructions. Would highly recommend staying here - we’ll be back!

Enjoyed our stay at the quirky cosy accomodation and very close to Yosemite entrance. Hot tub was great. A bit of a carry to get from drive way into cabin; steep walk down path with set of stairs to get into the home. Forested property very nice with big trees. Nice library with books about Yosemite, climbing, and a fingerboard to pull on if you haven’t had enough exercise in the park.Host does require renters to get an insurance policy or place a bond prior to completing the rental agreement which I have not encountered previously.

My sisters and I had a wonderful time from the time we arrived to when we left. The property is lovely, cozy, and easy to navigate. We woke up early and saw deer nearby out back and enjoyed using the very hot hot tub. Its close to Yosemite, where we spent most of our time, and wasnt far off from a great sandwich made at the general store nearby(it was loaded) and Oakhurst. Our trip was better and easy to navigate from this central hub that helped us relax after our day hikes. I highly suggest staying at this property.

Cozy cabin at the doorstep of Yosemite. Very quaint . If you’re looking for a comfortable cabin with access to Yosemite directly down the road, this is your spot. It is right off the main road and close to the general store as well. Highly recommended.

I have lived in Fish Camp since 2013, and the Yosemite area since 1996. Drawn here as a little girl to be a rock climber on the awe inspiring cliffs of Yosemite Valley. I returned here in 1996 as a local summer camp director, and nature guide in Yosemite, and later worked as an EMT and R.N. for Yosemite National Park and Yosemite Search and Rescue. Out of all my world travels, this is my favorite place. I now live on the East Side of the Sierra, with my husband, Dave, our 2 dogs, and cat. We operate a mountain guide company.
