About this property

RIVERWOLF: CLEANEST LOG CABIN On Bike Path!!

This cabin truly is in the BEST LOCATION in Jackson Hole. Close to JH Mountain Resort, with direct 8 minute bus service to the slopes. The same bus takes you to downtown. All the services you could possibly want are readily available.

Your hosts are following all CDC recommendations and Industry Best Practices in terms of staying safe during this time. Our own standards exceed those of our county and state, and we are very serious about physical distancing, wearing masks in the common areas outside, disinfecting and keeping everyone very safe.

We want you to have only pleasant surprises when you arrive, so please read the description we provide in it's entirety! We're happy to answer any questions!

When you walk in through the gate of this rustic paradise, you enter a world unto itself. Yet outside the gate you’re in the most sought after neighborhood in the Rocky Mountain West! The rental is attached to our French inspired log home.

We use alcohol-based anti-virus cleaning on all surfaces. We use sanitizing agents in the laundry to ensure the cleanest bedding and towels.

We maintain the cabin in accordance with the criteria as set forth by the Partnership for Global Sustainable Tourism. These criteria were designed for larger organizations, so we adapt them to our situation (one of a kind rental) and adhere as closely as we can to these criteria. Questions welcome, or check them out by doing a Google search for Partnership for Global Sustainable Tourism.

The cabin was hand built and is truly unique. Please feel free to ask any questions about size, access, stairways, etc. We have had so many charmed guests and we are committed to making sure this cabin is a good fit for YOU.

One bedroom, deck, great gardens (including a small stream and pond). We are requiring masks in the outdoor common spaces and walking in and out from the cars. Old world window hardware, claw foot tub, floor-to-ceiling barn sash windows in bathroom. Small rooms, low ceilings, exposed log perlins, plank floors and ceilings, hand scribed chinking. It is rustic and real with artistic touches and is truly unique. The adorable cabin is filled with maps, books, brochures, coupons, recommendations, insider tips and more. The plethora of nooks and crannies, and sense of abundance, belie the small carbon footprint of this green building and garden. The garden is completely chemical free, so everyone can feel great about sitting outside and enjoying the surroundings.

We continually upgrade and improve the cabin. Recent improvements include a new kitchen, additional cooking equipment, an 85 year old carved Belgian sofa, plush Nepali rugs and always professional detail cleaning. The Queen Sleigh bed has a Sealy Posturpedic mattress/box spring set, and we're always getting new bedding King pillows, cozy blankets and reading lights await you for the most comfortable sleep ever!!

Peaceful Retreat

This rustic modern cabin was perfect for our 25th anniversary hiking getaway in the Grand Tetons. Very convenient to Jackson Hole and the National Park. We loved the modern kitchen, the decor, and the cozy feel. The most beautiful setting! The owners were very responsive and kind. I hope we can return again someday.

Serene retreat

The cabin is beautiful and wonderfully furnished. Adding to the sense of peace the cabin offers, was the beautifully landscaped and lighted yard that leads up to and surrounds the cabin. Additionally, the owners were very gracious and made us feel right at home - including the thoughtful note and welcome basket that awaited our arrival. The owners had also compiled a binder that was very helpful with great "local" tips and recommendations that included things to do, local amenities and attractions, as well as restaurant recommendations.

A very special experience

I could not highly recommend this special log cabin enough as you both manage the balance between remaining discrete and yet ever helpful in such a way we felt like special guests. This house and it’s surroundings seem to attract good will. The beauty and close proximity to the Teton village made our stay effortless and looking out the windows at sunset magical. Thank you so much. Annie & Roland

Cabin is very small and cramped

Location is on a busy highway. Windows without screens must remain open due to no AC. Very steep steps to upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Shower is awful. Old sofa is very uncomfortable. "Luxury" linens are from Ikea. Place is crowded with old furniture. Large step up to toilet area. Outdoor space is not very appealing. Greywater drains into pond. No stream in summer. Not a "paradise" location. Owners were pleasant and seemed genuinely surprised that we were not happy with our accommodations.

BEYOND AWESOME!

This was our first renting experience on VRBO. I'm thrilled to report that our first experience was BEYOND AWESOME! This property was true to it's very description on VRBO. The pictures of the property are every bit in person as they appear on VRBO-beautiful! The booking of this property was a breeze. Everything was in order, easy to understand & fully explained. Any questions outside of the property/contract were quickly answered and with sincere excitement for our upcoming experience which I truly appreciated. When I stepped off the plane in Jackson Hole, the view literally took my breathe away & made me emotional. As we drove to the property, I thought to myself, "I hope this place doesn't disappoint." I can't say it enough! As soon as we opened the gate door & were greeted by the pathway, the trees, the little brook, the flowers, the twinkle lights, the peacefulness...& I hadn't even gotten to the cabin yet...I was smiling from ear to ear. All of the instructions we were given prior, from the greeting note, to the key in the door and all of the lights on - I let out a gasp and said to my husband, "This place is beautiful!" and then asked him to sit outside with our luggage so I could take pictures before we started "living" in it. LOL! Sorry, I did! There was a greeting basket with champagne, apples, cheese and chocolate. The cabin was just as cozy inside as outside. Everything was clean, orderly, easy to find & any necessity that a person could need - it was all there. I loved every inch of this property. There wasn't an icky place anywhere. My favorite spot was to grab a cup of coffee in the morning-when we weren't leaving to beat the crowds as 5am-I would sit in the bed all cuddled up with the comfortable pillows & watch the view out the wall of windows-the trees in the breeze, the wood fence, a horse in the distance. We were told that our privacy was important to our hosts & they valued theirs as well-it was true-I did not feel like I had people watching our every move. We felt so comfortable being able to come and go-never once did we feel like we were inhibiting the other's space. On the rare occasion we would bump into someone- soo friendly! Anything we wanted to see, anything we may need (groceries, gas, etc.) or routes we needed to get to, all right there. So convenient to so many things. Due to the Berry Fire, sadly we had to adjust our vacation plans but I can assure you, I would not hesitate to go back to Beth & Phil!! <3 <3 <3

Beautiful

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at the cabin. The grounds were well-maintained, and the hosts were very responsive and informative, and the location could not have been better. The cabin came stocked with almost everything you need aside from some specialty items that you’d likely never use on vacation anyway. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing and our stay at the cabin was peaceful and felt private even knowing that we were attached to the main house. We would definitely recommend to friends and family, and would consider returning ourselves in the future as well. Thank you Crawford and Phil for your hospitality!

Perfect Place To Stay Very Near Jackson

The cabin is exquisite and the property is well maintained. The location is perfect - close enough to Jackson, but outside of town. It is centrally located to all that we wanted to do. Very responsive hosts. We definitely will stay at Riverwolf again when we return to Wyoming.!

Perfect cabin right outside of town!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Phil and Crawford’s place! It was perfect for just the two of us, though there would be room for 1-2 kids if you had them! The cabin is exactly as advertised. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it has all of the supplies you’d need. The cabin itself is nestled right off Moose Wilson Rd, about a 10 minute drive to downtown Jackson. The road has a walk/bike path right next to it which is great for walking in the mornings - about 30 minutes walking up the road is the Aspen market and Persephone if looking for coffee or breakfast items. It’s about a 30 min drive to the Teton trails, with most of that being in the park. If you’re looking to stay outside of town but still be close to hiking and restaurants, this is the absolute perfect spot! Albertson’s near town is great for grocery staples and bear spray. If you visit in the fall, you may even get lucky and see some moose near the property - we had two spend a day nearby and it was incredible!

Lovely cabin in Wilson

We stayed for 3 nights at this cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The cabin is rustic and charming and as described on the web site. The hosts gave us detailed directions which was especially helpful when arriving in the dark. It is very close to GTNP on the Moose Wilson highway. We unfortunately did not spend much time in the cabin due to the hectic schedules visiting the parks but it felt welcoming to come back to the cabin after a long and tiresome day. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. We would definitely come back again in the future if our travels take us to Wyoming.

Great location for quirky quaint accommodation

After driving through Jackson several evenings, we were so glad to be staying on Moose Wilson Road away from the throngs of people. Hosts left ideas of places to go off the typical tourist path. The hosts did a wonderful job of COVID cleaning and we felt very secure. Wish we could have had a bit more contact with hosts but understand due to social distancing. The house is not your average VRBO but the description is quite accurate.
