Unable to communicate with host through VRBO. Had to wait over 24 hours for a reply from a management company. All I wanted to know is if I needed to pack pods for a Keurig machine. Turns out they didn’t have one. Only a old-fashioned drip coffee maker and no coffee provided. I was told the code to get in the door would be on the portal, however it was not there. I received a call from a lady who said she would connect with the people who could fix the issue and the code should be available on the portal. Within five minutes, she sent me a text with a code saying that it could be used for the duration of our stay. When we arrived at 11 PM we were tired and ready to go to bed. Unfortunately the code did not work. Called a 24 hour number from the email but had to leave a message and wait for someone to call me back. We finally got in and discovered a dead (actually barely alive on its back, but still moving) cockroach on the dining room table. The gate doesn’t lock had to be manually opened and closed. Doesn’t really provide any security if it can just be slid open by anybody. The furniture and decor was a hodgepodge of random things that didn’t seem to go together at all. One bedroom had a soft mattress, but very low to the ground, which was hard to get off and on for adults. The other bedroom had a taller bed, but the mattress was very firm. Expected more for the cost per night. The bathroom, however, was VERY nice and obviously recently updated.
