AC could not go below 78F but ceiling fans easily made up the difference. Kitchen has single burner, toaster oven and microwave. Enough for us. Host was freindly and easy to contact. Would go back again.

We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. I apologize for not being more specific about the air conditioning. 78 degrees was a suggestion, not a limit. In the tropics room temps in the mid 70s with low humidity can seem almost frigid when entering from high humidity outside temps of 80 or above.

We had a wonderful time at this guest home! Not only was the home perfectly appointed, but the location couldn’t have been more delightful. It was so close to many of the areas we wanted to visit on the Hilo side. Plus, it was so relaxing! During the day it was very quiet and peaceful and at night, the birds and frogs gave us a built in sound machine right outside the windows! We barely used the air conditioner (once for about 30 minutes). The rest of the time the overhead fan was plenty. And we found plenty of food and restaurant options nearby. Kathy and Charles were great hosts! So pleased we were able to stay here!

House of Palm

Lovely little place. Clean and very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed listening to the coqui at night. Great location for traveling to Hilo, Volcanoes, and the southern portion of the island.

Amazing and beautiful

This was the cleanest, most thoughtfully stocked place! The owners go way above and beyond! We felt so comfortable and at home after busy days of exploring. And we were treated to the best pineapple ever from their garden! Extremely gracious hosts. Thank you for such warm hospitality!
