Older place but fitting for the area and all the side by sides and jeeps going out on the Alpine Loop. Had a lot of fun in town and the surrounding areas are breath taking.

We rated the Texan resort excellent because it was exactly as described by the owners- these are rustic log cabins in Lake City, which is one of only 2 cities on Hwy 149- there are no name brand hotels to choose from and if there were we would still choose here again. The check in process was as described , so was the need for guests to take out their trash and wipe down the kitchen tops- the site was quite and quiet times were respected by everybody- it is a well known place for off roading and their are many of them staying there, they rolled through the campsite at the designated 2.5 miles an hour, causing no noise issues at all. If anyone went out at night we dident hear them, cabin was spotless and all kitchen equipment provided, everything you need including outside chairs and table. It’s not the Hyatt it is a quaint cabin in the woods, just like they describe it

Such a great place! My mom and I stayed to hike Wetterhorn peak. Beautiful property right next to the river and very close to the town. The decor is so cute and we love that each cabin is themed differently. We love the Texan!
