Staff was very friendly, ac was cold and room was clean. Don’t forget this is on a very popular street with night life so don’t expect quite nights. Make sure to book through a 3rd party as the hotel prices are more expensive if you book as a walk in.

Overall Stay at Unic Design Hotel, was okay for the listed price, however there were many downsides as well The hotel staff was always pleasant and helpful (Ronnie, Francisco and Gabi), but this did not make up for the Terrible wifi, the excessive amount of noise from the 5th avenue street and the LOUD music playing late into the night and early morning. The **Surcharged continental breakfast was extremely disappointing. The staff the restaurant where breakfast was served were unpleasant, and hurried us to leave. The paid breakfast included 4 small pieces of fruit, 2 slices of toast, and a tablespoon of yogurt in a small bowl. Great hotel for cheap travel in a good location if you are looking to have breakfast elsewhere and are willing to endure the rest.

Nice hotel close to 5 AVE

We decided to stay in this hotel for a couple of days before heading to an all inclusive. Hotel manangement contact me to confirm details about our reservation and provide assistance. We arrived late from the airport and had no issues checking in. Hotel is small but nice. Stayed there with my wife and two year old daughter. Some people complained in other reviews about the noise at night but we did no have any issues with it. Our room included breakfast at a nearby restaurant which was great. Recommend if you are looking for a basic hotel close to 5 Ave and be in close proximity to restaurants, shops and night life.

Great location.

Right in the centre of town. Terrible wifi that doesn't work except by the front desk, but the kind staff make up for it all. Great little hidden gem of a cafe (The Caimon) with daily live music only steps away.

Cute hotel with good location

Its a small hotel with basic facilities. There was no dining area or breakfast area on site. We got a free voucher for breakfast at a restaurant close by. The hotel and rooms appeared clean and the staff were cordial and helpful! The location is excellent. It's right on Quinta Avenida. There are shops, restaurants, caffes as soon as you walk out and beach is a 5-6 minute walk.

Location, location, location

Clean hotel, great location. Plenty of hot water. Staff very courteous and heloful. Reasonable price. Yes there is noise at night but that's because of the location. It's a choice to make! I'd go back.

Right off 5th - great spot close to everything.

This isn't your big name boutique hotel. It's small and cute. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the feel is very relaxed. There is no pool, gym, rooftop... The front desk attendants are also your concierge, so ask for suggestions! You're just getting a room with an ensuite - but in Playa that's all you need. 5 minute walk to Mamita's beach. The restaurant in the atrium is nice but it can be noisy if you are an early sleeper as all the rooms face inwards. I would stay here again; especially at their rates for such an accessible location.

The hotel was very convenient to all the places .swimming ,shopping, restaurants. There was a restaurant downstairs so it made it a little noisey especially for seniors. The staff were very helpful,spoke English and friendly.

Nice hotel located at the centre of everything.

Apparently the hotel is newly renovated. Great job! It really was lovely, gleaming white with lovely colour accents and green plants. The staff was was very pleasant and always very helpful. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to try their restaurant, but it looked very nice and appealing. After 2 weeks travelling through Yucatan, this was a lovely retreat for the last 2 days.

They Need a Security Guard ASAP : on my first night , i had a HORRIBLE encounter , i was getting put of my room and some random Dude aproach me asking we ( who was she with ?) he was knoking on some empty room , then he grab me hard by the arm and pushed me towards him asking me millions of questions i had to yell in the top of my lungs for him to let me go , finally i go down and tell the lobby employee and they were so numb about it , too slow to re act finally they call the cops and Arrested the Individual. they need more awareness and either a sec guard or a better entry system !! that was a very scary experience !!!
