Pleasant stay

We had a pleasant stay at the Adina Motel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Except there is not air conditioning in the bed rooms.

Positives: comfortable bed, good shower, balcony with a great view across the city, helpful staff on reception. Negatives: the front door of the unit offered little insulation from the traffic noise from the road outside, the black-out curtains were rendered pointless by the gap at the bottom, and a wrong sized plug made using the sink difficult. Slow and weak wi-fi signal on the top floor, which the motel knows about, because they recommended I sit by the window when using it.

I was disappointed to find the motel very outdated. The spa suite was the only room available for me and one other person, and now I know why. There wasn't a kitchenette in the room, only a microwave and bar fridge. The only sink was in the bathroom so I had to go and buy water. The bed was very uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on a board. Although the overall room was very clean, there were pubes in the bathroom and handprints all over the bed head. The view was lovely overlooking Central Launceston and it was walking distance to the mall. The receptionists were so very kind and helpful , it's just a shame that the place feels grotty and run-down.

very basic but comfortable

We had an emergency last minute booking and had to stay in Launceston one more night. This place is looking tired and worn and should be gutted and renovated (or demolished). The 'spa' bath had tape over the jet holes but the showerhead gave a warm shower. the towels have seen better days, but the bed was clean and comfortable. This isn't really any more than 3 stars, if I am being generous. However the staff were very informative and polite, and there was parking on site. This was a non smoking room but there were people smoking on balconies above us and the smoke wafted in

It was all really great until we used the shower. Very little water, the hot far too hot and could never manage a steady temp. Quite tricky and could be dangerous.Needless to say we never had another shower
