The staff were all warm and friendly and helpful. It felt like being part of a small community. There was a peaceful or restful ambiance. Loved the free morning yoga classes and they were held in a beautiful space so conducive to this type of class. Also enjoyed the mid day water aerobics classes which had a sense of bonhommie with the guests/participants. Our room was spacious, comfortable and colourful. Enjoyed yummy and healthy breakfast options. Overall, a sense of relaxation, like an oasis each time we opened the gate to the property. Beach a short easy walk nearby.

A peaceful oasis! We stayed in the Cocos room and were lucky to enjoy the sunset every evening from our terrace. The pool was gorgeous and we spend most of the afternoons lounging there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend.

A community oriented hotel

Lovely hotel and we loved our icean view room with huge private terrace and separate livig room (Cocos). The only negative was the bed was a bit hard. On Tues, the resort puts on a free dinner forguests with entertainment. This time we had an Indigenous singer - she was amazing. In Thurs there was a movie night. The hotel also offers free daily yoga and free pool aerobics. The grounds are gorgeous and it is in a very convenient location to great restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant will make you anything you want. They also have weight loss programs and weekly chapel. The owners are American and love to interact with guests and tell stories. A family atmosphere vibe.

Great stay with wonderful owners, fabulous staff.

We've been to PE before and when we decided to come back we found Casamar online and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. So much so that we've booked again for next year. The property is a real gem, self-contained and immaculately kept. Most units have kitchens and outdoor spaces. There is an on-site restaurant, a spa, yoga and aquafit as well as 24hr staff. PE is a great town with lot to do and see, but Puerta Zicatela is even better. Don't miss the whale/dolphin trips. Thanks to Willis, Ted, Luis, Nora and so many other great staff.

The staff was friendly and accomodating. The pool is eco freindly and they do not use any chlorine which resulted in the pool being very slimmy on the bottom. Great location, with nice courtyard.

We travelled to casamar with our 2 year old and it was the best place we could’ve stayed. So family friendly. The grounds are like a beautiful little oasis with very well maintained greenery, beautiful flowers and birds and butterflies… They offer free yoga classes for guests everyday at 9am and this was honestly the highlight for me. There’s wonderful complementary coffee every morning. The manager, Louis and concierge, Christine are so kind and accommodating… the food at the restaurant was delicious and they do a complementary dinner every night for the guests every Tuesday evening. It’s wonderful. I loved this place so much. We’ll definitely be back. I will say the beds were all very firm, we switched rooms a couple times because of that and found the king size bed in the niños suite to be the softest so that’s where we ended up. We had to pay a little bit more for that suite because of the size but it was necessary… and the pool is so nice but they use a copper ionization system so it’s a bit slippery. We slipped a couple times on the way in. Watch your step. :)

Great resort… our family loved it here. Super close to the beach. Pool is great, food is excellent. Staff is wonderful. Beds are a bit firm but we just like them softer…. Would stay again :) highly recommended for families! Our toddler had a great time.

Wonderful place to stay. AMAZING Yoga classes at 9am every morning made this stay even better than I could’ve imagined. Very family friendly. Beautiful scenery, amazing staff, the food at the restaurant is DELICIOUS. Nice pool, very traditional Mexican decor. The beds were a little firm but we like softer beds. Very basic is done everyday (garbage’s replaced at minimum). We switched rooms twice and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. Communal dinner on Tuesday nights for all the guests is a great bonus. Loved our stay here. Would definitely return.

Dogs at night were a bit annoying but I would go back there in a heartbeat. The owner new the area well and provided us with any info we needed. The get to know your guests night, held each Monday, was excellent and created a real family type atmosphere in the complex. Thanks for a great stay Willits. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Horrible, what a joke!!!!!

Horrible stay , the owner offered us ear plugs upon checking in . We didn't know why, til night set in . Between dogs barking continually all night, traffic, people walking by bedroom window til all hrs. Most of all not being satisfied they wouldn't return my money. They kept 3 nights stay and we only stayed one night! Don't book more than one nights stay to try it out for yourself!!!!!

Stay here! You will love it!

We stayed for a week in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment. The grounds are lovely and well kept, with a long clean pool and ample chairs, loungers, tables, etc. Location is close to La Punta, a bit out of town but along the main drag. Super friendly staff who bent over backwards for us. And everything we are at the little kitchen was fresh and delicious. One of the best supplied kitchens in our apartment, too. Did a tour with Javier to his family's beach/river camp. A fantastic experience. Overall Casamar is Really friendly and enjoyable place and give a strong recommendation for you to stay here.

Lovely, lush and relaxing.

Casamar was excellent. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The kitchen was very well equipped. The grounds were well cared for and the atmosphere was very lovely and relaxing. The yoga was great, the staff was helpful. It was a short walk from la punts and the ocean and a short cab ride to zicatela.
