Pip and Trevor are thoughtful and helpful hosts. Knowledgable also about the value for money tours in the area . ( I wish I had checked with them first!) Wil stay again on next trip to Port Douglas But longer.

Great spot for Reef tours

Best time touring the Reef. Hotel lovely, clean and quiet. All the night life you could want by stepping out the front door. As stated by everyone Todd and Pip lovely hoteliers

Life on main street

Very good. The room was comfortable and the air-conditioning was a nice plus. The bathroom was very modern with a great-sized shower. The pool was refreshing. The kitchen had everything you needed. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The balcony was lovely. I would definitely stay there again. The location was great, right on the Main Street, close to everything a traveller needs.

Private Oasis

Private suite hotel off the busy Port Douglas Macrossan Street. The room was spacious and clean with detailed amenities. We were pleased to have so much space, and a quiet retreat. Our kitchen was well stocked and the rooms were clean. The front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and quick to make recommendations for local dining and activities. The location was perfect as we did not have a car. We were only steps away from local dining and activities on the beach as well as grocery and specialty shops.

This was perfect for our 5 day stay. The hosts were wonderful and gave us great advice on which tours to go on. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets and great shopping all within walking distance….would definitely recommend Macrossan House.
