The manager is nice and qas helpful but there are problems with the property that should be taken care of. The 2nd patio door is sitting on the deck leaving the screen door unlockable. We always lock our door at night for sleeping so this was an uncomfortable feeling. The coffee milk in the fridge was sour. The bedding was clean but wrinked as if it had sat in a dryer for hours.

Self-catering unit close to Avalon Airport

Lara Lodge is close to Avalon Airport, so we had a quick stay before an early morning flight. It is in a rural area, but the owner gave us good directions, and was kind enough to greet us personally at check-in. The unit is nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. The only negative was that there were some ants in the kitchen. Overall, we had a nice quick stay.

Cosy and quiet area, very peaceful stay. The cabins were bigger and nicer than I expected, had everything you need. Surrounded by horse paddocks and a great place to watch the stars at night. Loved it!

With limited accommodation available in the area, these cabins are very welcoming, clean and convenient. Communication with the very accommodating staff was absolutely excellent. Not sure I would want a long term stay here on the outskirts of Lara but excellent and convenient for a shorter stay.
