We arrive on a Sunday and met with a woman. We booked a 3 bedroom penthouse for 7 days and upon arrival (after sending multiple emails and attempting to call) were told that only 2 people are included in the 3 bedroom penthouse price. We had a friend that would be arriving and staying in the 3rd room and we were charged $35 per day for her and not given a spare key. The penthouse was cleaned one time in our 7 day stay and we were told trash would be taken out daily. That was a lie. We had friends staying in a resort nearby who came over daily to eat, pre-drink, etc. On the second to last night, they were turned away. The front desk said no visitors after 10pm . I contacted the number I was given via whats app who tells me no visitors passed 7pm. I have never experienced this in my adult life. There is one restaurant on the resort with a sign that shows Breakfast 8a-12pm and lunch at 12:30pm. That was a lie. It does not serve breakfast and opens at 1pm. I also got food poising after dinning there on our first day. The resort itself is pretty, but the lack or amenities, communication, the restrictions...I would not recommend it and will not be staying here again. However, our friends stayed at another Los Amigos location which was absolutely stunning and the staff recommended beaches nearby. Our resort did no such thing and were not helpful. I feel with new staff or possibly new management, this place has so much potential.

The property is absolutely stunning inside and out with an exercise facility/rock climbing and two pools and a beautiful bed to sleep on The inside grounds are exquisite. Some fine tweeking needed. The gym closes early, no sugar /cream in the rooms, the juice bar closes sundays , the television has but one channel; make sure you bring Netflix if your into tv..they may also might want to consider a snack bar. Because it’s a bit off the beaten path and not to close to a convenience store

Love Central Park Tulum! The suites are very modern, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds of the property are very beautiful and the amenity facilities were fabulous. I was very pleased to stay at a place focused on using renewable energy and being efficient. The staff were great and we especially connected with Sergio! He was so kind and always greeted us happily! He provided great information about Tulum, the beach and especially the Central Park property.

Property itself is good. Check in staff was amazing and very helpful but the check out staff was horrible and rude. Our decent stay quickly turned into a bad experience because of him. Their rental bikes are horrible.. gym hours are not consistent.. website said they offer free yoga class for the guests but that wasn’t the case.. ants everywhere...

Awesome experience

We had an amazing stay at the hotel, staff was really friendly, everything looked as advertised, food was delicious. Just about a 20 min drive from the hotel zone. We definitely would recommend this place!

Needs refinement

Central Park is a new development in Tulum. They are aiming to be a high-end, 3 or 4 star property. As they are still refining things (such as paving new walkways, construction of the grounds and surrounding buildings), they have yet to achieve the "luxury" status. For the price we paid, I was happy with the room. Beds/pillows extremely comfortable. Large bathroom and shower. We appreciated the small kitchen, fridge and blender. When their prices reach their peak, I'd suggest just staying on the beach/hotel road. Some negatives: The A/C was not working for the first 2 days of our stay. Not sure if they fixed it or not?? (First we heard we were using it wrong, then they checked and said it needed a repair, then wanted us to change rooms). When booking, we decided it was okay to stay in town (Central Park is far away from the beach) as they offered a free shuttle and free access to their sister property's beach club. On check-in we were told this "recently" changed and a 400 peso minimum was required to visit the beach club. Disappointing! On check-out they wanted to inspect the room before we left. I found this odd, given they are trying to operate as a luxury property. They offer free bikes. The ride to the beach/hotel/restaurant area is at least 30 minute, more depending on how far you go. We recommend renting a car.

Beautiful hotel...quiet, peaceful

Loved sitting on the patio on the second floor in the morning enjoying breakfast and coffee..watching resort staff do such a great job! Gym was quite awesome....I would have like more air movement....maybe a couple of fans . Only complaint in 201c was the shower didn’t have enough pressure to wash soap or conditioner out of longer hair...I used the gym showers because of that...we should have mentioned it and would have if I hadn’t found d another option of survival lil

Can't wait for our next stay!

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Central Park Tulum. Brand new hotel with a very modern concept. Units are well appointed, luxurious and spacious. Kitchen has all the necessary equipment plus utensils and other items I wouldn't have expected. Bed & sheets were beyond comfortable. All the staff were extremely helpful & friendly as well. We especially liked Sergis (check in host) who went out of his way to make our stay special. Guests have the option of using the Beach Club (which was located at the nicest part of the beach) with complementary shuttle at 8:45am and 12:00pm. Bikes are available to ride into town, although some guests would keep them all day & night which can be a little frustrating when there are limited bikes available. Was sad to go, but we will definitely return! Wendy & Kevin

We enjoyed our stay at Central Park. It was little off the beaten path but is a part of something bigger coming to this part of Mexico. The hotel was still under construction so we did make use of Sunday to hang out by the pool and relax, otherwise it was pretty noisey and there were a lot of workers around. The staff were great and the bikes were a bonus to explore the town and get to the beach. Even the cabs in the evening were reasonably priced (like a couple bucks to anywhere in town) and the town is fun with great food and things to do. We will be back to Tulum for sure. Mucho Gracias

I will be back! Onsite spa & gym top quality, resort is 5 star cleanliness. Everything needed walking distance. Recommend small rental car for full experience in Tulum, most attractions within 15 minute drive. Mopeds and bicycles only for the very brave. Park the car & take the $10 taxi home if you want some drinks (:

The Penthouse does NOT disappoint! The entire space was beautiful, 3 story gym, Thai restaurant and ambiance was great, the grounds were well kept. There is no elevator, so pack light. The roads in the area are not paved, without street lights, don’t recommend being off grounds after dark. Need a cab to get to the beach, about 15 minute ride $24 dollars each way. About 1.5hrs from the airport.

This Resort was amazing! Definitely will go back and stay at this place again. Close to the Tulum ruins and local markets, restaurants and bike rentals. Only thing is rent a car or get on a colectivo because taxis are way over priced even with the front desk trying to help you out for service.

Overall, this was a decent hotel. The gym is probably the main draw as it is pretty impressive. However, even with very few guests there, because they only have 2 treadmills, it wasn't easy to get to use it. The pool is mainly decorative, and basically nobody uses it as it's very shallow and narrow. So if you like hanging out by the pool this is not the place for you. The main problem I had with my stay was that I accidentally booked the wrong date on the hotel (I had a overnight flight so that threw me off). I booked 2 weeks ahead of time and contacted both the hotel and Expedia the very next day. I had also booked the penthouse suite. If I had accidentally booked a studio, I might not have cared that much. After hours of talking to Expedia and the hotel, they basically both told me they were not going to do anything for me and it was my mistake and I'd have to eat the cost. I told them I was willing to change dates, get credit. Anything so I didn't lose the 280 dollars I spent for a penthouse suite I wasn't going to be there to use. In conclusion, this is a small brand hotel that doesn't really care about customer service and if they won't do anything about my mistaken booking, I don't feel they would be very accommodating about anything else. In general, I'd avoid this place and also avoid booking anything with expedia as their customer support after you make a booking is basically non-existent.

Cute diamond in the rough

Very good place for the price. Dirt road to get there, but once there it is very nice. The ocean side bohemian-chic area is a short drive away.
