Uncomfortable seating, doubtful cleaning: found nail clippings on the floor, stained cushions and sofa, cleaning staff consistently forgot to refill coffee/milk and laundry detergent. Hallway carpet in need of cleaning and walls all smudged with dirt. Service at front desk almost non-existant. Do not recommend.

The front desk staff were outstanding. The roof top swimming pool area was stunningly beautiful. What an incredible view. Unfortunately the room had a few short comings. The room had a balcony and the view was terrible. The apartment side rooms were right next to anorther apartment building (long term stays) and people would hang their clothes and bikes on their balconies and you could see folks in their apartments. We had to keep the window blakout shades closed the entire stay. We rated Tyrian 4 star only because of the spectcular rooftop and friendly staff.

Great location to hop tram to Aus open tennis or walk through botanical gardens. Magnificent roof top pool and view of bay. Friendly staff with great amenities.

Great cafe for breakfast and lunch. Superb Italian restaurant around the corner at The Kinson Hotel-Vivi. In a great neighborhood with several dining options. A Woolworth grocery was walkable. Very close was Fawkner Convenience which carries everything you need.

Clean, safe and beautiful apartment hotel

Very comfortable apartment hotel. We enjoyed our stay here as a family with 2 young children. Very safe neighborhood. Gorgeous views from the swimming pool rooftop. It was too chilly for us to swim when we went but pool is stunning. Also, the cafe (Mr. Percival) on the first floor served really good food if you don’t feel like cooking! Tyrian is not located in CBD. The area around Tyrian (Albert Lake Park) is beautiful and quiet. You have to walk a few blocks for food and the trams. You would need to have a car or take an uber if you want to buy groceries. Melbourne CBD is about 25 minutes away on the tram and about 15-25 minutes away in an uber (depending on traffic). Trams are really easy to access and use here and we did frequently with our kids. Tyrian is a really good option if you want to be near CBD but in a quiet area for your family.
