Very good location across from the Old Course. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel is very dated, and worn out. It deserves a major renovation to take advantage of its location.

everyone was really nice here. Wait staff Olivia was super pleasant and friendly. The hotel has parking in the back too which is huge as it gets busy and not a lot of parking in the front

Comfortable with some limitations.

The room was excellent, comfortable and well set up. Breakfast was pleasant and well served, But, the internet was frequently unavailable and the television in our room anyway had no news channels. Other than that, the hotel was perfectly located, close to the University and good restaurants and with a lovely view of the sea. The pluses easily outweighed the negatives.

Great place close to the Old Course

The town of St Andrew's is a beautiful place to visit especially if you are a golfer. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the 18th hole. Centrally located in town everything is but a few minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the R&A headquarters.

The hotel is close to all the golf action: the R & A, the firs hole of the Old Course and the beach.

Lovely spot, close to golf and beach

We were a family of 4 from Ottawa in St Andrews to attend my niece's graduation from St Andrews (and golf!). They don't seem to accommodate early check-ins (our train from Edinburgh arrived prior to the 2PM check-in and we weren't able to access our room prior to that) but happy to store luggage. We had a family room (two separate bedrooms and sharing a bathroom) which was perfect for us because the rooms, while very comfortable are super small. Each room had its own handy sink. It's an older hotel with lots of mini staircases and tiny elevator. We only had breakfast at the hotel and drinks at the bar, no main meals. If you know you're going to eat breakfast at the hotel every morning, you'll save by signing up in advance for breakfast (8£, hot and cold food) versus winging it daily (13£+). We chose this hotel for its location. Easy walk to all St Andrews links courses and has a golf club storage room.

Wonderful visit

The accommodations made our travels much easier and much more comfortable. The hotel was extraordinarily clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was prime. I would certainly recommend The Scores to anyone who wishes to stay in St. Andrews.

Run down, skeleton staff, felt like “ghost hotel” Holes and stains all over walls in bedroom and hallways Dirty marks on bedding, had to be moved to another room Manager who was also waiter and general dogs body was very helpful Receptionist was lovely, friendly and helpful No staff around at all in evening, felt quite strange and unsafe

This hotel is not fit to be open. State of the rooms was horrendous. Breakfast was a joke. Receptionist and waitress were both lovely. Felt really sorry for the having to listen to everyone complaining.

It's in an amazing location and if you are lucky enough to get a front facing room, you have a fantastic view. Satff were all fab and it was a bonus to have a car park. We did feel the breakfast was expensive and there was no real restaurant to have evening dinner. There is a pub down stairs attached to hotel which was very nice.and they did serve pub type meals. We would def stay there again.
