Dated is ok - broken is unacceptable at this price point. The stove needs to be replaced, very slow to heat. The cookie sheets are too big and do no fit in the oven. Fridge crisper drawer has a broken clip. Bathroom tub drained back through shower and flooded the bathroom (we were able to contain by using every provided towel). Then no towels. No power in 2 bedrooms, and no wifi due to broken circuit. Maintenance came and we were told "don't touch this switch in lower bedroom". Dishwasher needs to be run twice to clean each load. Utility cookware drawer in kitchen off runners. Wood ant infestation mug cupboard. Lanai sliding door needs lubricant and repair. Only 5 worn out placemats. Marble coffee table blocks room and too heavy to move for socializing.

We paid a premium price for a king bed and pull out couch. We ended up buying a inflatable bed to accommodate our 2 teenagers. The daily resort fee was expensive at $42 a day. The Kapalua Villas were nice but very exclusive and too quiet for our family. We had to drive everywhere as the resort restaurants were way too expensive. Property could have used more dish towels, pool towels, a broom and dust pan, beach umbrella and chairs to borrow for the beach. Probably our one and only time visiting Maui - too expensive for families.

Kapalua Villa's is situated on a beautiful property, with access to 3 beaches, two golf courses, high-end hotels and restaurants. Property is welll maintained by an army of gardeners, so it looks lovely. The Villa's are large, spacious and have magnificent views of the ocean, and you can watch whales from your deck. The Villa where we were staying was comfortable, large (1 bedroom), full kitchen and two bathrooms, in-suite laundry. These features made for a great 2 week stay. On the plus side, the resort provides a free shuttle service to get to and from the amenities, has an ABC store on site, that is reasonably priced and has good food for take out, great restaurants (Pour House was excellent) and well marked walking trails, fabulous beaches for swimming/snorkeling or surfing. On the downside, the bed and linens were sub-par for a hotel at this price, the furniture was dated, and if you want daily maid service, be prepared to pay an extra $250/day (we made our own bed and washed our towels) on top of the daily resort fee of $39/day (this was our first trip to Hawaii and this may be normal, so be prepared). Overall, I rate this property as pleasing, but for the above reasons, not excellent.

It is situated perfectly away from downtown. It was very quiet and relaxing, the gardens is beautifully maintained and pool kept in top condition. We also like the restaurant and eateries around the area for easy access.

Everything was there - numberious beaches, trails, golfing, stores, restaurants and pools - you didn’t have to walk as there was a shuttle there within 5 min. to take you anywhere on the property which was massive. Our Villa was quiet with a beautiful scenic view of the ocean and golf course. Minor issue with the washing machine but staff was quick to make things right by washing all our laundry for us and bringing us fresh towels whenever we called. Hope to be able to return again someday!

Always make sure you read the fine print!! A $275 cleaning fee was to be paid upon check in as well as resort fees. We complained and they waived it as we are only here one night.

There some minor issues The dishwasher was also coming out No oven mitts The master bathroom, the plug was not working properly The other bathroom , the toilet leak and had to be turn off The door to the patio, were stuck, The sofa was very comfortable. You could even sit in it without getting a sore back

Recharging our batteries in Paradise.

The villa we got was wonderful. Very private and peaceful, near the ocean and away from the light pollution of larger resorts. Very pleasant place for those who want a getaway from the world.

A great place to get a villa in Maui

We had nothing but an amazing experience with Kapalua Villas. The gold villas are all spacious with modern, clean amenities so that you can store food and prepare your own meals if desired. We had a spectacular Ocean view, a great porch and access to two beaches. The Spa was a 5 min walk and offered some great services. The Villas are about a 20-25 min drive to downtown Lahaina, making it very convenient for excursions, and its about a 10 min drive to Kanapaali beach, one of the best beaches in Maui. The Villas compound has an AMAZING general store, with lots of snacks/foods available along with a great restaurant that really serves up some tasty meals. I really can't say enough about this place, it offers everything you would want for a comfy and convenient home base in Maui. For anyone going to Maui, booking at this place is a no-brainer...they can definitely expect our business anytime we are in Maui!

Overpriced once you finish the adding

The advertised fee is not an accurate reflection of the actual cost. You must add a daily resort fee of $35.00 and a cleaning fee of $200 when leaving making the actual cost of the stay much more expensive. Aside from a shuttle service around the resort, there is nothing to show for the resort fee. They also demanded payment on checking in which I found somewhat disturbing.

Beautiful area but terrible accommodation

The units were dirty and dated. The staff were unwilling to help when issues arose. The internet stopped working many times, The units had Cockroaches and other bugs. Rats were running around the property but not inside our unit. A friend had to move her family at 3 am when they woke up to bugs crawling all over their bed. At first the staff refused to move her and were only offering to come and spray the unit in the morning.

Overall we had a pleasant experience. However there is room for improvement. The unit we stayed had paper like window covers with made a lot of noise if you wanted to sleep with an open door. The windows are poor quality, This is a windy location and experiencing several storms while we stay there its hard to sleep. The problems with the key pad (entering the unit) where plenty. Either the code didn't work or it had been changed. Once we cam from a day hiking from the vulcano did our shopping and came tired and with plenty of groceries back only to find out that we were locked out of our unit. Calling the front desk we were asked to get in tough with our booking agent !!! After I ASAP drove to the front desk , demanding to talk to the manager, things were taken car at once. Otherwise the service is great. After a storm , city windows, no problem. they will be cleaned the same day. Call for supplies and they will be there in the hour at your door. Very disappointing was that when we booked through expedia we were told we could use the SPA at the Montage. After requesting this service, we were told it was taken away. So overtime you use the SPA its 55 $ US ALOHA Als was taken away the shuttle to the Aboretum. We are hikers and were locking forward to do the hike up there. NOP, we don't do this anymore (but it is still advertised in there services !

Units were amazing but the construction to adjacent units were annoying. Construction occurred in afternoon but made staying in our unit in the afternoon not pleasant. Construction should happen when adjacent units are vacant.
