I really liked the size of our condo/suite, the furniture was beachy & nice, in good shape. Excellent curtains all in good condition. We used 3 of the 4 beds; 2 double beds when you walked into the room, with a full bath off the beds; then a walk through kitchen, into a living room/dining area and a half bath. The bathroom fans were really loud and need replacing and I found the lights were so bright it interrupted the sleep when you were at the bed beside the bathroom. Beds were okay. the pull down bed was good, we didn’t use the couch bed. Couch was comfortable enough and had cozy cushions. There was NO mold or bad smell anywhere thankfully, no carpets. Pillows were not comfortable, beds were ok but woke often. Good view of the beach, which was about a block to the water. Kitchen: stove top burner, a microwave, 2 fridges (we only used the one), microwave, appropriate lighting but not a lot of plug ins. A balcony, with seating and a table, though white chairs were a bit stained. Storage -good sized closet when you walk in and wall open storage for groceries. There was a safe but we didn’t use it. Bathroom floor had some hair on it, Laundry coin stacked machine outside our door. There were 2 tv’s; no cable but you could go on different apps like Hulu, YouTube,Close to the beach. The Sand Dunes was spread out and we were out of the main building with a dirty pool, two more on parallel streets. Same signs as Ocean Dunes beside us. Stayed 2 nights, balcony door didn’t lock

The building is older. The water pressure in the showers was so little you could barely shower. We got a suit but it doesn’t come with much. Not even paper towel. No cleaning services during your stay.

The property had lots of things to do, but a lot of it was closed. The water park and lazy river were closed, the ice cream and smoothie shop was closed. Typically when you pay to stay at a resort, amenities such as the glow in the dark mini golf are included for your enjoyment, but we had to pay $5 USD for each player for each game. That was disappointing. If there are costs that are attached to enjoying a resort’s amenities, or if certain attractions are closed for various reasons, the resort should have to disclose this information on their website, or during booking. We chose this resort because of the amenities it has listed, had we of known that everything other than the pool was either closed or costed additional money to enjoy, we would have stayed elsewhere.

The resort did not by any means ressemble the pics. Our room had no shower curtain and none of the electrical worked in the barhroom. The pool was ice cold and the water park area was closed apparently do to wind. I would not stay here again unless it is last resort

Stay Away!!!

STAY AWAY! Not a hotel!!! Sand Dunes is basically a really crappy air bnb. Once they have your money you are locked in and cant get a refund!!! Staff dont care and brush off issues or just ignore them, rooms are filthy and smell awful! Popcorn ceiling was LITERALLY falling down, mold on the walls and cigarette burns in the curtains. Staff was vaping in the water park area, you cant charge any of the "on site" restaurantsto your room, they dont show up to "refresh" the room as they call it, or even when you request a broom to clean up the floor no one arrives, smoking everywhere makes sitting on your balcony impossible. No towels at the outdoor pool, and it was freezing. Room windows are cracked, floors are disgusting!!! When you have to brush dirt off your feet before getting into bed there is an obvious lack of housekeeping. It's up to you to clean the room before you leave!!!!???? NOT A HOTEL, NOT RELAXING and NOT WORTH IT! STAY AWAY!!! Hotels.com needs to cut ties with them.

Room was gross when I arrived, bathroom sink didn’t drain and there was brown stuff on the towels and the wall. Maintenance was not able to come up that night, and the girls counter told me she couldn’t do anything and moving me to another room would be too much of a hassle. She then told me maintenance would be there early in the morning and they never showed up so I checked out and went somewhere else because this place was gross

The rooms were dirty, and the indoor pool in the building we were in was nasty and cold for it to be an indoor pool. The communication on how to get to our room and parking garage was awful and there were no signs on where to enter from the parking garage. The hotel clerk did walk us over but when we questioned her instructions another clerk was rude about it. Most likely will not stay here again. The water park looked interesting and the arcade was decent but the soap scum on the shower door and black dirt all over the room overrides all the amenities for me.
