The outside grounds are not kept up very well. The condo was fine. Staff were lovely. Unfortunately I found an entire load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Restaurants are close by. We found accommodation and restaurants very expensive. Do not believe you get value for money on Kuaui anymore.

The Banyan Harbor has 51 townhouse style units that might be a little dated but the unit was well appointed and had most everything we needed. The buuilding we were in had many steps and made for a good work out but you can ask for a walk in style unit if they are available. The view of the harbor had one obstruction but otherwise had a nice view of the bay. It was easy walking distance to the beach and multiple restaurants. All the amenities worked well including washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. The A/C worked well on both levels and the rooms were inviting and beds comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone that isnt into large resort style complexes and would prefer to cook their own meals or go out if they wish. Lastly, there was a salt water pool with BBQ station, shuffle board and pickleball court.

Great location and value

Great value and the room had everything we needed. The front desk lent us some beach chairs and an umbrella for a very small fee, and there were lots of beach towels in the room. We had reserved a suite with a queen bed and to be honest it really seems like it is a double - however the other room had two twin beds so we pushed them together and slept very well. Would totally stay here again. Was a quick walk to amazing food trucks and Duke's Kauai, and a pretty central location to get to other parts of the island pretty easily by car.

The front desk clerk was so accommodating. She even moved us to a room that we didn’t have to walk up so many stairs as we are seniors. If you have difficulty walking stairs this might not be the place to stay. Loved the location easy walk. If you are wanting to cook they have great appliances We would stay here again
