Not what you expect for the price

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The AC was either full blast directly to the bed or off, no way to control it. I stayed for 4 nights with my family and only got a small shampoo and shower gel, not enough for 1 day. The floor was full of dirt. You must take the garbage out or they charge you EUR 50. The bed and sofa bed where very uncomfortable.

We love our stay in this appartement. It is close to everything! Aldi supermarket is really nice and we find everything we need. We loved the neighborhood. The ice-cream at DeLaCrem worth the wait. 15 min from La Ramblas. The apartment is quiet and nice. The little pool was appreciated by the kids. The only thing that we can complain is the moisture in the shower. Nora was really nice at the front desk! Thanks!

Likes: 1. Location: near many restaurants and cafés, walking distance to La Rambla, and access to excellent transit 2. Kitchenette: it was very nice to have a kettle, sink, fridge, and microwave. There was even a washing machine but no dryer and a rule against drying clothes in the window. 3. Dining nook: a very cute little (and I do mean little) table and 4 chairs set with a view into the courtyard. Dislikes: 1. Size: the superior room was small for 4 people (2 adults, one 13-year-old and one 10-year-old in our case). The double bed and the double fold-out couch take up most of the floor space, making it difficult to move around. 2. Swimming pool: the pool was a big factor in booking for us because we were worried Barcelona might be very hot and we wanted to be able to cool down. We were disappointed when we checked in and learned that the Aramunt pool was closed… until we saw the pool. It would have been just as disappointing open, because it is the smallest pool I have ever seen; more like three bathtubs connected lengthwise. 3. Beds: too small for our family. The pull-out couch was uncomfortable for two people because it moved and squeaked with every shift. 4. Power outage: we arrived on an overnight flight and needed a nap. The room was too hot to sleep and we thought the AC was broken, but it turned there was a power outage. Once the power was back on, the AC worked great.

Very good stay

Great stay at a fairly convenient location. Room was very comfortable with a small kitchen and a lovely little balcony area for dining. Staff was there to help us with all our issues, including extra blankets. The only thing is the sofa bed was a bit springy and felt broken, especially at the outer edge.

Great location and clean apartment

Loved the place due to its location and cleanliness. You could go to most touristy places walking- within 20 minutes. We were two adults and two older kids so we could take advantage of its location. The subway or Metro station is about 3 blocks away so that works too - 10 minutes. There are some nice eating places at reasonable prices including some fancy ones too. So we would have breakfast (loved the place called the Breakfast Bar which is 2 blocks away) and dinner after our long day trips in this area and it saved us money as well. There were small tucks shops around to buy decent wines/ cheese for 4-10 Euros! Two things I must mention: 1. It's an apartment so you need to be ready to clean your mess yourself, including making beds or doing the dishes for the duration of your stay. We bought some paper napkins and cleaning sponge from the Convenience store downstairs. We had no problems but some people might not like this. 2. When you go there for the first time, make sure you printout or save the exact directions (Google maps) from the Metro station as it could get confusing to find it. At least some visual milestones. For us we always go to the nearest McDonalds/Starbucks and pull up the Google maps of that area on our phone and then use it to guide ourselves for free-no data roaming required.

Pleasant stay

The hotel is in a good location. It has the convenience of having a parking connected to the hotel with competitive rates. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and even a washer. We were given a free entry to the Egyptian museum nearby. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The apartment would have looked even better with a layer of fresh paint on the walls

Disappointing Facilities. Dangerous Bed.

The room was small and in need of maintenance. There were several holes in the bed mattress with a dangerous bedspring wire poking up through the mattress. We notified the front desk and they replaced the mattress but failed to make the bed. The staff seemed nice. The location was great. The pool was tiny and unheated. The facilities and room were disappointing.
