Great budget hotel

New front desk agent. Insisting we gave cash for our room deposit instead using our credit card which made us with 1000 Check crowns less cash for our stay. Rooms are nice big and clean however no Air we can rent a small desk fan for 50kc a day of the staff is willing to get it for you. 3 nights we were able to get one on our last night again. That new lady was not helpful at all , we booked with Expedia and again for some reason she said our room was not paid for. Had to pay our room on credit card came home to double charges but Expedia and hotel agent Martin were both very quick to answer and refunded asap. Overall this hotel is ok. Free breakfast I didn't enjoy but my husband loved it. Location is great. We would probably stay here again as long price is the same or cheaper.

Confusing to say the least.....

Nice, clean helpful staff....the hallway and lack of stairwell lighting was shadey.... shame Expedia didn't tag this hotel as"lovely hotel in the midst of a seedy part of town" 2 pretty confident and nonbeginner travelling women and we were a little uncomfortable with the area....not to mention the shower ( glass, with a view to the bed covered by a curtain outside) feels like a pervy peep show is about to begin...not many reasons we could think of for s shower like that.... that being said.....the hotel itself is well maintained and staff was super helpful. Wouldn't say no would just have been nice to know a little more info about the area ( we were pressed for time to thouroughly research so we take part responsibility on that) great hotel location if you are exploring Prague's red light district or brothels ;)

Good place

The hotel was good overall, and I would stay here again. Honestly, the only knock I have on the whole place is that the breakfast was not very good so if you are counting on the included breakfast, don't set expectations very high. Other than that, there were good english speaking staff, and everything else you might need for your stay.

Prague in Style

PurPur was a short walk from the railway station, and a short walk from all the site and attractions Prague had to offer. A great location, on a quiet street. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, housekeeping was daily. The bathrooms were spacious. WiFi was always available through one of their many free accounts. We didn't use the TV, but the room came with one, as well as a mini-kitchen- which was rather convenient. Would definitely recommend.

Great Location But Can't Recommend

Great location and, despite what others have posted, you will survive the night, but I can't recommend this hotel. As others have pointed out, there are drainage problems in the showers and both of the rooms I stayed in flooded. Laminate floors outside the bathroom have water damage so this is a recurring problem. I know it's hard to operate a hotel in an old building and the price was reasonable, but there are better options out there. There is no point comparing any four star hotels in Prague to ones in North America because the standard is different, but, that being said, this would be hard pressed to get two stars in North America.

Wondeful!

The hotel was in a great location - walking distance to old town and all must see sights but on a quiet street so noise was not an issue. Good pubs and cafe's nearby. Metro station and trams are also within 3-5min walking distance. Rooms were modern, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Breakfast is from 7am - 10am but supplies of bacon and eggs are low by 9:15ish. Reception staff spoke English and were very helpful.

My stay was just ok. I think they upgraded my room from the single to a standard double, which was nice. Had a nice balcony view as well. Services listed included daily housekeeping, but they didn't clear out the rubbish or provide a new floor towel until the second day of my stay. Hotel is on a nice quiet street which is good for sleeping. I was expecting more for the price I paid, but still had a pretty decent stay.

Great hotel!

This is definitely a hidden gem in Prague. For the price, you will not find anything near this good. The hotel looks like it used to be a brothel turned hotel (you'll know what I mean when you see the shower :)). Super close to the main square and all of the tourist attractions. Bottom line, i will stay there again when I'm in Prague.

Nice staff, good value, and away from partygoers

I think they upgraded my room as it was huge and I paid very little! Very friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Hotel does not cater to bachelor parties/hen nights so is quiet. Also it's a few blocks from the old city so less noise than elsewhere. Very close to tramway, cafe, shops, and some brewpubs around for all the basics. Decor was a little kitsch, keeping up with the purple theme but room had a really nice rainshower. Appreciated having a kitchenette. Breakfast was a good buffet. Only 2 internet computers to use but I never had to wait. Good selection of beers to buy from the lobby. Would recommend it.

Week-end in Prag. Central gut gelegenes Appartment-Hotel. Alles praktisch eingerichtet. Nahe im Zentrum und zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Sogar Kaffee gab es noch gratis zum Frühstück. Alles gut. Gerne wieder.

Gutes Preis-leistungsverhältnis. Sehr nah am Zentrum und nettes Personal. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig. Sogar ein kleines Frühstück ist dabei. Gerne wieder… speziell dank der Lage in wenigen Minuten beim Wenzelsplatz.
