Great location and great view of Old Town from the windows. Clean and spacious. Beds are comfy. Can walk from the train to this location as well. Only thing to be aware of is 3 flights of stairs with luggage is required.

Our apt was three flights up and there is no lift( we were told ahead of time) so it was a climb as I’m not young anymore. That said, it was nice and clean and in a very convenient location to shops and the tram. There was some noise from the adjacent buildings climate control system. All in all, a good spot for exploring New and Old town Edinburgh .

Our stay here was excellent! Really enjoyed the size and comfort of the unit, the availability of in-room washer/dryer and kitchen, and the location. We didn't use public transportation during our stay because we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The Destiny Hanover Scotland team was also super communicative and helpful.

Lovely apartment. Great location. Great facilities. No lift though and there was lots of stairs. Parking was in a shopping centre car park about 700m away. This was not clearly communicated but once we knew about it we adjusted.

Great multi-day base camp

Beautiful property, lots of space, light and high ceilings, the makeover for this was well done. Felt safe, good area of town and only a short walk to the Royal Mile. Parking decks were not close, we chose street parking that wasn’t cheap and required us to return periodically as the limit was three hours.

Perfect location. Close to everything or there is a bus 0.2 miles around the corner. Clean, loved having a little kitchen One suggestion would be to get a new mattress. It was definitely worn down and not very comfortable.

First off the girls that work in the office are AMAZING. They helped us tremendously. I would recommend this place . Pros This place is in a great location. We had room # 4. Walking distance to everything. It is a large clean apartment with views of the city and castle . The bathroom was clean and had great water pressure. Keyless entry was great. There was coffee and tea. Everything you could want . Cons Check in is 3pm and when your flight gets u in at 8am and after a long time of time it makes it for a VERY long exhausting day. There is no elevator and its 50 or more steps up with luggage in tow. There is no Air conditioning and the windows only open a crack and there are no screens so bugs fly in. We did have a fan and that helped a bit. You can hear the cars on the street and bag pipers in the morning. The room was on the noisier side.

Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Parking was a bit of a pain. You have to pick up a voucher for a discount, and we were unable to get to the office to do so. I’m not sure why they cannot provide an electronic voucher.

Excellent location. Good value. Newly renovated with good workmanship. But the design of the renovation was clearly done by someone who never spent a night in the apartment. Also, we did not appreciate having to walk up 71 steps from street level to the apartment. I wish I'd known about that.

Nicely renovated property in a desirable location near shopping and tourism. Quiet. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we checked in and the management company responded quickly. I couldn’t get the heat to work but maybe it is because of something I didn’t understand as an American. Overall a nice experience.

The flat was very spacious and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and I liked that the window opened a little bit. Dropping off our luggage at the main office was a godsend, so we didn't have to walk around all day with them. There are many restaurants, cafes in the area, and we were right at the base of "The Mound" and close to Waverly train station. There is also a tram stop right on Princes street, which made getting around super easy. The biggest downside was the stairs to get up to the 2nd level, which made it tedious with our suitcases. After walking up all the hills to the Royal Mile, we cringed at going up the numerous flights to reach the room. This is more of an "us" issue than the accommodations :)

The worst part of our stay was the initial climb to the third floor with our luggage. Unbeknownst to us at the moment, this trek became a perfect training for the following day’s climb to Arthur’s Seat! We were quite happy with the location and the parking arrangement with St. James Place which was just a short ten minute walk to our unit. The location was perfect for the Royal Mile, Rose and George Streets, and the many restaurant choices. I think there were over one hundred pubs within a ten minute walk. We did not use the public transportation and found walking to be the preferred method of getting around. Truly fell in love with Edinburgh and would stay at Hanover Place again for sure! Only criticism was that there weren’t detergent tabs at the unit.

Good spacious apartment but not a superior room.

Two Superior rooms booked. Spacious apartment and clean. Couple of extras would have made it a superior standard. Full length mirror, a table with a mirror and decent light to apply make up and do hair and/ or a shelf in the bathroom to put make up bag on. Also shower door did not close, crack in sink, and marks on bathroom door. Clock did not work in one of the rooms & was showing wrong time in the other. No coat hooks in one of rooms. The recycling bins did not have a cardboard/ paper option. If your not able to easily walk ask for room on first floor as quite a few steps to climb to third floor.0
