Extremely comfortable stay for our family of 5. Excellent suite layout to accommodate our toddler and baby - they gave us a beautiful crib. Fantastic rooftop pool and location to Linc mall, restaurants, etc. Friendly staff and very clean. Nice breakfast options too.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite for 9 nights over Christmas and New Years. The staff are lovely have very helpful. Rooms are in good condition and any small problems, they come fix it right away. We had a blocked toilet and they fixed the matter right away. Breakfast is downstairs at the souled our restaurant. It’s a continental breakfast along with a few traditional dishes. What I loved was, we were there for 9 days and everyday there was a different item for the traditional menu. Some days they had curries, pastas, noodles, fried rice etc. They also have a free shuttle service which can take you to the nearby attractions such as KLCC, China town etc and you can also request pick up too. It definitely saves up taxi expenses. The intermark mall is 7mins walk which was great, we’d stroll there some nights to grab dinner. The rooftop pool is amazing, the views are wonderful. There’s some construction happening on the opposite of the hotel so sometimes breakfast can be a bit loud. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back there again. :)

Comfortable stay

Somerset Ampang is a top-notch facility for pleasure and business travellers. I enjoyed to comfortable building and friendly staff. The breakfasts were memorable and great. The location is 5mins from LRT station; however, the sidewalk is uneven and difficult for wheeled luggage.

First time to KL

Welcoming staff, we were offered an upgrade to an apartment so very spacious. Breakfast was at the Restaurant - Souled Out which is next door which was adequate. The Hotel is a little far out if you like to be central as this is where all the Restaurants are situated. Make sure you take an airport Taxi, which you can book as you come out of Customs and also book Transport to take you back to the Airport. We took a normal Taxi and it was the worst ride every, the vehicle certainly wasn't road worthy!!! It is approx 50mins to 1hr from the Airport. Airport Taxi 118 MYR and the taxi 90 MYR!! Took us forever to get out of the Airport, Immigration is a nightmare and getting back into the airport took 2hrs, to check in bags, immigration and baggage checks at the gate.

So-So!

Staff were friendly. Checking in was pleasant. Room was clean. Toiletries and room amenities were adequate. Needs some tweaking. There was mold on the grouting along the bathtub. Breakfast is alarmingly pathetic! The breakfast is farmed out to the bar/restaurant 'Souled-Out' next door. They open till wee hours of the morning. There's grime and remnants from the previous night with flies congregating. There's not a clean chair nor table for breakfast. There's other options in Kuala Lumpur for that price.

Hotel location was near KLCC. If you have big family or small kids which requires daily cooking or washing, this apartment would be ideal for you. However, you might want to arrange your own breakfast. The breakfast was served in packed meal and choices were limited. After a few days, you would have tried all the food choices.
