Hotel staff were good. The room was ok, nothing special. The annoying part about the room was the toilet being separate from the sink and garbage. Lots of walking back and forth between the 2. No power outlet in the bathroom. And only one side of the bed had an outlet. Walls were pretty thin, we could hear our neighbours and since we also had a mini balcony we could hear the traffic all night.

Tiny but efficient great location

We were keen on having the kitchenette, enabled us to do our own lunches and dinners. The Buffay breakfast was good because there was a two for one deal, otherwise it’s not worth €13 per person. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Expensive for what you get

The hotel and the room, even if functional, are kind of old fashioned. The size of the Studio Room looks much bigger on pictures then in reality. Our room on the back of the hotel was very quiet. A lot of groceries, restaurants, bars and stores nearby. Expensive for what you get.

This place was quite good. The kitchen was good to be able to cook a few meals. Close to the metro multiple lines, 1 within 2 mins, 1 within 10 mins. There were a lot of restaurants near by and there was a grocery store near by as well. The lighting in the room was not the best and the suite we were in had the toilet in a separate from the bathtub. The folks working there were super helpful and even provided us with an adapter.

Frequent visitor to this property and noticing that it is beginning to show its age and due for a lick of paint and fixing of some of furniture. Nevertheless, a well-fitted kitchen makes it a great option if you want to be able to prepare some of your own meals. Beds are on the soft side. Location is stellar if you appreciate the charms of the 11e: trendy little restos and bars, independent shops. Lots of metro options too.

The hotel was very clean, located in a very safe area, very close to a metro station. Staff was very friendly, they all spoke perfect english and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were always providing tips regarding restaurants, transportation and places to visit.

Moved to another Citadines hotel without consent

Travelling in a large group for a wedding. We all arranged to be at the Citadines Republique. Half the group was relocated to another Citadines hotel without any consent or advanced notice. The explanation we got was that the hotel was overbooked. No form of compensation was offered proactively for this inconvenience

OK HOTEL FOR A REASONABLE PRICE

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and two kids for three nights. There were two rooms which was spacious and a kitchen with all the appliances. It was clean and nice. The hotel staff was not necessarily friendly except one of them who worked nights. Everyone else at the reception just answered your questions but clearly with no passion to be helpful. You have to clean the apartment yourself and there was no room service. you also have to clear your own garbage which I didn't expect to do when I am on vacation.

Close to all amenities, helpful and friendly staff, kitchen comes in handy for breakfasts/lunches and snacks, but no air conditioning so can get pretty warm in hot weather (fans are provided).

Very nice hotel but no air conditioners

The overall quality of the hotel is good with an awesome crew. Two things though: No air conditioner make the stay difficult in summer, especially at night. The breakfast is really too much expensive. It's much more advised to get their free coffee (which is awesome btw) and catch some croissants from the bakery nearby.

Small room, no AC, very hot in July and noisy

Very small room. Can not fully open window in living room if we want to watch tv. Was very warm in July without AC and on top of it, lots of noise outside during the night...so impossible to sleep. No cleanup for the second day. Will never go there again in the summer.

Great Hotel

This hotel was fantastic, we had an apartment style suite. This included a small kitchen which was nice as breakfast was a bit pricy - so we could buy some grocceries and refrigerate them. Overall great hotel, 30 seconds to the nearest metro stop.

Good Value

The staff was pleasant and they all spoke English very well. Free coffee all day long was a nice touch. The location is great - lots of metro stations around. My only complaints are: 1) we did not receive maid service once during our 5 day stay and 2) there is no fitness centre (which was advertised on expedia.ca).
