The apartment was great and very close to the city center and other attractions. We walked everywhere and the bus stop was only 2 blocks away. I would recommend this apartment and will stay there on my next trip to Reykjavik.

Great communication and directions to the property. Apartment in excellent location and easily walkable to Reykjavik centre with its many shops, supermarkets and eateries. On street parking available nearby which is payable but plenty of spaces available. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed, serving as a great base from which to explore Iceland.

Its a nice apartment in a perfect location but not a luxury apartment as they would call it but perfect for a city vacation. Very close to many of the places to see and close to the bus stops that will take you on the tours. You are forced us to keep Windows upen

Super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Only drawbacks were that the airport is very close meaning you hear and see large planes flying very low overhead. They don't fly late into the night or start very early though, so it didn't detract from our stay other than startling us the first time. We also had a couple issues with the keypad at the front entry, but we were still able to get in. Amazing location and very lovely stay overall though! And parking was very easy to find.

It was nice to be able to spread out after too many nights in hotel rooms. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is perfect for centrally walking and enjoying Reykjavik.

The bed was comfortable and luckily we had day excursions because it was crowded and smelled like sewage and mold. We were in a small outbuilding not represented by the castle building photos advertised. We booked becuase we thought we were getting a luxery apartment. Instead we where in a converted shed or garage in the back of the building in the yard. We had to keep the window open to vent the smell. We had no view of anything but the back of the building. Could have gone to a hotel for same price and less hassle.

I booked an extra night on accident and when I called they will not do refunds. Got there and hear was off and windows open, cold as crap.People above me were loud and woke me up everyday. Didn’t like that they would come in my room everyday and put my chocolate in the fridge. If I wanted it cold I would’ve put it in there. Good location but wouldn’t go back

Quiet area in Reykjavik but in walking distance to the Rainbow Street area. 5 minutes from a grocery shop. The apartment had all the right amenities supplied in the kitchen - toaster microwave, fridge etc that helped us make dinners rather than go out every night. Comfy bed and secure system to enter the property. Very quick communication from the owner. A pleasant stay.

Excellent Location

The location of Castle House Lux Apartments is ideal. It’s right next to Tjornin Lake and within easy walking to downtown, shopping areas, and pickup spots for tours. There is a large supermarket within a 5 min walk. The kitchen is small, but functional with a 2-burner stove and a small refrigerator, which was sufficient for our needs. We were able to cook all our dinner meals there. Our rooms were very clean. The 2 upstairs apartments with a balcony require climbing a set of stairs to the front door and another longer flight to get to the room. This could be an issue for those with mobility limitations. It was cool and wet most of the days we were there, so we didn’t make use of the balcony. The management staff replied very quickly to emails and messages. When our delayed luggage was to be delivered to the apartment, Castle House provided someone to meet the delivery person as we weren’t available for the delivery to our room. They also have a storage room to hold luggage for a few hours if needed pre/post our stay.

Great location near bus stops and restaurants and shopping streets. I needed information about where to leave luggage on our early arrival off a cruise ship. Email wasn’t replied to but luckily a resident was able to advise us to leave in the apartment lobby.
