Had a great sleep in a good bed. Plenty of space to speard out. The kitchenette was a bonus. Front desk person was lovely. An easy walk to downtown and convenient to catch the Orbus to and from the airport.

Walking distance to town centre

Parking is tight. Top floor rooms have a balcony with a view but no air conditioning. Even after leaving the curtains closed while sightseeing, the room was extremely hot as well as the balcony due to the sunlight.

We had a late check in due to an excursion we were on. The room we had was a bit outdated (bathroom especially). The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet for a good nights sleep. The only issue was the view....there was none! Our room looked right into a tall fence. If we had checked in earlier we would have requested a different room.

Spacious rooms and close enough to CBD

We wanted a hotel just outside of the city noise, and Hurley’s is a reasonable walk away. The rooms are a good size, and we made use of the kitchen facilities and the balcony. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Easy for parking, and quick to access the main roads. A fan in the room would be good to have, as there is no air conditioning.

Ok place for a night or two

Room was big and kitchen well-equipped. The bathroom was also nice. The property is older but well-maintained. What I didn’t like was that there was a street next to it which was quite noisy.

I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Very dated and old. Not clean. The room had a very bad odor when we arrived. The carpet was full of stains. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. Very very expensive for what you get. This was the most expensive and the worst place we stayed in during our 2 week long trip around New Zeeland. I would not recommend Hurleys to anyone. Absolutely terrible!
