Our holiday in Menaggio was wonderful because of the beautiful destination, less so the villa. Le Petit Palais did not live up to its grand name & the online photos were somewhat misleading. Positively, the views from the terrace & 2 main bedrooms are stunning, looking directly over the lake & mountains. The driving directions from the airport were excellent & the secure garage was convenient; a car is essential here. For 5 people, the general facilities were fine & the air conditioning in the 2 main bedrooms was invaluable in the 35 degree heat. The next Villa had no air con despite being advertised, under same management! However the negatives were significant: the 3rd bedroom is a basement room next to the garage with no air conditioning, natural light or fresh air, making 1 guest feel 2nd class. It’s not shown in the brochure photos. Upon our late arrival, the villa was not fully ready: 1 bathroom lacked toilet paper & toiletries, & the welcome pack was incredibly stingy, with just wine, crackers sugar & a few tea bags for 5 tired travellers. Furthermore the pool is shared, has limited shade & is further away than anticipated. Worst of all was the dreadful communication from the management company There was no info pack so we had to message them for basic questions like finding the pool or disposing of refuse, which requires a 10 minute drive. Instead of answering they sent 16 videos to watch! Lake Como is magical but we will not return to this poorly managed villa.

Situation idéale . Garage pour la voiture très très belle maison terrasse très agréable. Bien suivre les instructions de l’hôte pour arrivée . Excellent séjour Italien .
