I stayed at the COVE for 3 nights in mid-October 2024 and was fully satisfied with my accomodations. It was an easy walk from the train station and the area was easily walkable to restaurants, pubs, groceries and museums. Check-in was very smooth and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and very quiet with a great oversized bed. The kitchen has all I needed to cook if I wanted to (I didn't, us it beyond prepping simple cereal, fruit and yogurt breakfasts). The bathroom was plenty big with lots of hot water and good water pressure. If I get back to Manchester I would stay here again.

Where to start? Theres a host of options in central Manchester. I've tried several. But if you're there for a few days this is an excellent choice. Walk everywhere or catch a team, bus, train or taxi.

A nice sized aparthotol room with good amenities and reasonable but not perfect sound deadening. Staff was very friendly, complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby along with oat milk. Seemed to really care about sustainability. WiFi was very good. I'd definitely stay again.

Poor service. Room not ready at 3pm for check in. I was told that the previous guests checked out late and that it would be ready at 4pm. I waited in the lobby till 5pm. It was still not ready at 5pm so I left. Avoid this place. The lobby was full of unhappy people waiting to check in as rooms not ready despite it being past check in time. The excuse was that the previous guests checked out late, and that there was a miscommunication with housekeeping. This property needs to evaluate its housekeeping, management, and guest services. Terrible service. Avoid at all cost.

Good aparthotel close to Piccadilly station.

SACO is within a couple minutes walk from the station, close to Piccadilly Gardens. If you are familiar with Manchester, this might not seem to be a good thing, but the 1 bedroom apartment we had was surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was clean (large shower, no bathtub) with plenty of space to spread out toiletries. Be advised that the apartments are only cleaned/linen changed once a week - the only problem with that is a short supply of toilet paper. We ended up buying extra because the apartment was serviced only once in our 12 day stay. The kitchen was well stocked with a frying pan and a few pots for the 4 hob stove top. There was a dishwasher (which we did not use) with a basic supply of washing soap. There was an oven as well as a microwave, which was a plus for us. There were plates and place settings for 4 and a good sized glass dining table with 3 chairs. The biggest drawback was the fridge, which ran constantly. If you are travelling on business and need to work, the dining table was the only work surface. There is a washer/dryer combo (with soap supplied for a few washes) and an iron/ironing board. If you have not used a single-unit washer/dryer before, be sure to read the instructions! All in all it was a good stay for a couple of weeks.

Really fantastic stay. Simple accommodation but clean and convenient location. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve ever slept it but it was good enough. We’d definitely look to stay again if we ever need accommodation in Manchester.
