Great, LOTS of space in the rooms. Kitchen is a bit awkward, I could barely reach the dishes in the high cupboard. However, we were very pleased with room and staff. Definitely recommend.

Centrally located clean spacious suite

Large, clean room with comfortable bed, balcony, kitchenette, and large bathtub. Very central location for all the major tourist sites. Desk staff were very courteous and accommodating, but are not present 24 hours, which is my only criticism (and a very minor one).

Great acommodation

We were in a “management suite” accommodation. We were very pleased with the suite and its comfort. The hotel is well situated to a number of tourist sites in Berlin, and to the public transit system via Stadtmitte station.

the hotel is very well located in Mitte..right beside a subway stop..the room was very quiet..even with the windows open..and very well priced..good size to the room..well appointed.. when we return to Berlin we will stay again at the hotel

Central, comfortable stay

Very spacious suite with a well equipped kitchen. We liked having robes available and many windows for fresh air - there is air conditioning if it gets very warm. The location is good for seeing major sights if you like to walk. There is immediate access to the underground as well. For shoppers, all the high end stores are available on Freidrichstrasse. We used Open Table for restaurants in the area - some good options. What we liked the most was the comfortable bed and pillows - after busy days sight seeing it was great to get a good night's rest. We made use of the free laundry - very much appreciated. This would be an ideal choice for the business traveller - the sleeping are could be divided from the living area by a pocket door. If larger meeting space is needed, the hotel has a meeting room on the ground floor. This is not a character hotel - but it was very comfortable.

Very central and homey

Overall great place to stay and very central for walking to the various sites in Berlin. Subway 1 minute away. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet (my room was facing the courtyard). My only recommendation would have been that, as the room had a balcony, that they provide a couple of chairs so that one can sit outside. The balcony was totally bare.

Met or exceeded all expectations.

Not knowing much about the geography of Berlin from a tourist's point of view, I considered a number of alternatives on line. We wanted reasonably central location, ability to have some meals in unit, 3+ to 4 star quality, more German in design than American/International chain style. We found all these and more at the Mandala Suites. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Clean cosmodern hotel

This is the third time we've stayed here. The hotel location is central for great walking or cycling opportunites, and is right on the U-Bahn route. Nice restaurants and coffee houses are close by. The staff is very professional and helpful, with the exception of one staff, who seemed a little nervous and was unable to accomodate anything except the most structured activities. we found work arounds in these situations. The rooms are spacious, quiet, well appointed, and everything operates as it's supposed to! We liked the spa area as a place to sit, stretch, relax and enjoy a cup of tea. There is also a small gym, totally functional. Are experiences over three visits have been consistent.

Perfect stay and location

We had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen and separate bedroom. The stay was perfect and the location was excellent. Check out the world's largest chocolate store just 1 1/2 blocks away. We used the free laundry facilities as we had already been in Europe for 2 weeks and were joining a cruise ship tour from Berlin.

Very comfortable stay in a suite hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of this suites hotel. There was lots of room and it was great having a kitchen available - even though we mostly only used it for breakfast. Wish we had known ahead that there are washers/dryers availble for free - we would have packed fewer clothes and washed them before moving to our next stop. The only thing missing was a small table and chairs to eat at - we had to take turns at the desk, which was not ideal. We also found the location great, since we could use the U Bahn to get around easily.

unfortunately flawed

I have been at the Mandala Suites a couple of times, and it always has been a pleasurable experience. The rooms are spacious, the place always is impeccably clean and staff is friendly. The breakfast is superb. This time though, it was not great. The pillows we had where horrid, they felt like they are 10 years old and we both had no sleep at all during the night because of them. Since there is no staff on duty at night, we weren't able to get a replacement. The bed itself was very uncomfortable as well. We arrived at the hotel at 330pm and had to wait for an hour to get our room, even if it was way after check in time, so unfortunately this will be my last stay at this place for a while =(

A very pleasant experience

We had a really great stay. The service at this hotel is impeccable. I like to stay at upscale houses, but this one clearly stood out. The staff is not only super friendly and helpful, but also smart and unobtrusive. The breakfast buffett is hands down THE BEST i have seen in any 5 star hotel! For the price you are getting very much your moneys worth. The only thing I would like to see change is the TVs into a flatscreen. the rooms are huge, so the tiny old tv doesnt do any good =) But then again, theres so much to see all around and in the city, dont really need that. Will come back for sure.

Felt like home away from home

The location was central, the hotel was clean. I had a quiet suite overlooking the courtyard. The staff was professional and spoke english. I felt safe during my stay. The U-bahn is right beside the hotel and convenient to go anywhere in Berlin. I couldn't have asked for more.
